Originally an offshoot of a bakery in Miami but now a standalone operation, this café is very convenient to those in the downtown WPB/courthouse area. I visited there in the mid morning and the coffee was hot and rich, the food (toasted ham, pork and cheese sandwich on a freshly baked hoagie roll) was tasty, and the service from the father-daughter team present was excellent. While I was there other customers ordered the $3.25 breakfast special: the fresh eggs were cracked, scrambled and cooked to order, the bread was cut and freshly toasted on a press, the potatoes were fried to order, and the cafe con leche was expertly made by the owner himself. Every customer was promptly welcomed with a smile, some obviously regulars being greeted by name. The open architecture allows a full view of the food prep area - no doubts about cleanliness here. The large windows allow plenty of natural light in for those sitting inside. There is outside seating that is shaded from the midday sun and the E-W orientation allows for a refreshing breeze. The menu is filled with a variety of quick breakfast and lunch choices at very fair prices. Today there was a lunch special of scrumptious-looking ribs - unadvertised specials are different from day to day. According to the owner, they deliver to the nearby area - with many of their customers ordering from the courthouse and the City of WPB and Palm Beach County Government complexes - and the soon-to-open DEA offices will make for a busier lunch-hour rush. They open at 7am with flexible closing times (3-4 pm but will stay open longer for customers showing up to eat). A surprising find for a urban eatery! I will definitely be eating there again.
Since moving to the area in 2008, I tried three different salons before walking into Salon di M. My stylist took the time to listen to my concerns and present some ideas for me to consider. I like to wear my hair long but the humidity typically made my dry, wavy hair extremely frizzy and unmanageable. My stylist recommended a Brazilian hair treatment and the results were nothing short of amazing. My hair is now silky, shiny, smooth and very easy to style. As a result, I have been able to grow it out and wear it longer and my husband loves it! My stylist (Mercedes) is extremely professional and my hair color looks very natural. All the staff at the salon are friendly and welcoming. The nail services are far superior to those offered at the typical "storefront" establishments and the atmosphere at the salon is very relaxing and comfortable. I highly recommend Salon di M.
I was looking for a new hair stylist and stumbled onto this place, and am I ever glad I did!! The owner, Shannon, a Certified Paul Mitchell Hair Stylist really took time with me. I originally went with pictures in toe, of new hair styles I had seen. Well Shannon ended up giving me an amazing haircut using features from the pictures I brought with me. I also than found out more about the company. Shannon is also a make-up artist, she gave me a free make-up consultation and she even had the make-up she used right there for sale... most of the items were less than $3.00's and I have been using the eyeshadows and found that I love the colors and the techniques I learned also have helped me. Shannon also had some Designer Handbags displayed to me for amazingly low prices!! I really liked my experience - will definately be a return client and I have already told a friend. Great Place!!
