I have had my dog for the last 18 years and last year he was diagnosed with degenerative Myelopothy, and it has been heart breaking watching him fail. Now that he is in the final stages, my boyfriend and I decided that it was time. This was the hardest decision I have ever made in my entire life. I scheduled an appointment 2 days prior and when we got there they said they had no record of my appointment, after we paid in full. They delivered this information insincerely and accusin...view moregly. They said they could pencil me in, but I couldn’t be present in the room. I have had my dog for 18 years I do not want the last thing for him to see is the inside of a kennel, frightened and alone. After spending a day full of anxiety and tears we were told that we would have to come back tomorrow if I would like to be present in the room at the time of euthanasia. I had to leave there with my dog, to return in the morning to do it all over again. I am in total shock, and I would not recommend this service to anyone who loves their animal.view less

To Ken that wrote a review you are very right. I used to work there, and the reason why your cat got a infection is because a lot of the Vet Techs do not wear gloves and they do as quick as they can do it. It is a butcher clinic. All there animals there are severely sick, and they do put at least five a day. They say there a no kill that is NOT true because they put down animals for aggression or medical or if they can't find fosters. They have way to many animals to take care for and ...view morethat is why they are all dirty and ill. I seen the people who work in treatments leave medicine out and it is no good and they still use it. It is extremely dirty and I would never bring my animal in there.view less
I want to let anyone know who is interested in possibly using Peggy Adams for any services...I am beyond shocked by how one of their employees behaved while I was attempting to schedule a service through them. Not only did they issue me an email stating that my service was cancelled for unknown reasons, coming later to find out that they expected payment before the day of the procedure, which was fine, (but there's a right and wrong way to go about telling someone that). I worked a lon...view moreg day yesterday and missed a phone call from her where upon listening to her vm, it was rude yesterday as well. "Let us know so we can give your spot to someone else." Well geez, thanks for making us feel important...but after waking up this morning, I listen to my voicemail and this extremely trashy woman had left me a Vm yet again, mouthing off and being passive aggressive Bc I had emailed her back and accused them of being BS, which it was. I called the number back, and instead of a hello or good morning, she answers "hello Jennifer" in a condescending tone. I could not even get a word out Bc she was speaking over me the entire time and speaking to me in a beyond rude manner. I felt like I was dealing with the local DMV. I would never trust these people again with one of my pets. Whether I was right or wrong with my protocol for scheduling, you simply do not treat customers this way, end of story. This woman seems very angry with life, and if how she treated me is any indicator, I'd hate to see how she treats someone's cherished pet. Seems that they are mor concerned with how many animals they can crank in and out than quality of care. I mostly expect some answer to this post in another rude manner from either that woman or someone else, rather than anyone attempting to correct the situation. Of course, there's no correcting it at this point Bc I won't go there. I choose to never do business with this company ever again and I urge anyone dealing with the decision of choosing either a rescue or a vet to please save yourself the heartache and go elsewhere.view less
I only have good things to say about Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. They have so many services available not only for people looking to adopt but for current pet owners as well. The facilities are very clean. I would trust them with my dogs and cats. I would definitely recommend Peggy Adams to anyone and proudly support them!
JUST THE FACTS...YOU DECIDE. I took my three female cats to Peggy Adams for spaying. I thought I would save some money versus the vet and hey, they do so many. What could go wrong? Within two days after the surgeries, one cat had to be rushed to the emergency room for an infection and an abscess from the surgery. The next day she had to be taken to the hospital (not Peggy Adams) to be operated on. The other two cats also had infections and had to be treated and kept several nights at t...view morehe vet. That's the short version. The whole ordeal cost us several sleepless nights, unnecessary dress on the cats and almost $4,000.view less

I never knew I could love an animal so much . I really love coming home to her because of the way she greets me and loves me . Beware they kill defensless pets They should be ashamed of themselves when a sweet little homeless back kitten was brougt to this fascility for adoption they said they would NOT euthanize it unless it was either very aggressive or sick it was neither but of course it was understandably scared although I along with several neighbors had been feeding it and it would allow us to stroke and even pick it up with no sign of aggression or wanting to claw or bite us it would just purr unfortun...view moreately my complex doesn't allow pets or I would have gladly kept it anyway I left my number with this Peggy Adams adoption centre on the understanding that if there were any problems to let me know and I would return to pick it up they never called me back so when I called back 10 days later to check on it's welfare I was shocked to learn it had been destroyed because it was according to them badly behaved and showed signs of aggression my god what do they expect from a scared little kitten although I can't imagine what they must have done to provoke it from a calm and gentle natured animal into an aggressive kitten (I just don't believe it) it does not make sense and besides it's a scared little kitten for god sake needless to say I along with my neighbors are all deverstated and regret of having heard the name Peggy Adams they should be ashamed of themselves please if you need to adopt a pet ok fine but be warned if you intend to give them a pet to adopt especially a small defensless little kitten don't even think about it just stay away please don't let this happen to youview less
They need help....perhaps a volunteer to help with phones. I tried to get information on how to help all these stray cats in my area, but was hung up on twice after several minutes waiting. I'm sure they do good for the community but you can't be hanging up on people like that.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY A DOG OR CAT FROM A BREEDER !!!!!!!!!!!
Peggy Adams is the BEST place to find a dog or cat who needs a home. I have adopted 2 from there. All are healthy and there is a wide choice to pick from. Staff are knowledgable, helpful and caring.
Look in those big brown eyes begging to "take me home" and it's REALLY hard to choose !
