Harley rocks my socks.

I train with Harley Shin here. Not only is Harley an incredible trainer and in great shape (never could understand trainers who are in worse shape than their clients!) he is knowledgeable about all things health fitness and nutrition related. He combines the perfect combination of rigid instruction (if you would like six pack abs cut the booze) with making sure my form is tip top and nutrition is in place. He is also somewhat of a walking encyclopedia about nutrient absorption, vitamins, hormones, food combining - that's just the tip.

I started off training once a week with boxing sessions. Being that he is such a great boxing instructor I stepped up my game to 2ce/week. The first day we lift, second day box. Harley is honestly the best. I am so grateful for him in my life!

Old equipment old clients!

The worst gym I have ever been to! It is dirty and unkept! The equipment is older than I Am! The bathrooms are a joke! One stall johns,OK! For one hundred dollars a month you could go to crunch and save 50 bucks! And look at beautiful people! And get a great workout!

Demeaning and disrespectful management, security and owners

I was a great customer, new into town and meeting a lot of friends from August 2007 to April 2008. I was there every weekend. Even the promoters would call and ask to join and eat at the owners' restaurant. There was no problem getting hook ups (tables and drinks and cover-wise). I didn't mind paying either. Then during the SheBar event last April 2008, I stood on a platform next to the DJ stage, slipped and my leg got stuck between two platforms. I had severe contusions in my calf and hamstring and all around my knee. I ended up getting fluid in the knee and clots in my leg. To this day my nerves are damaged. The hematoma from the point of impact is hard and there is a four inch-round area of extreme discoloration, perhaps permamnent discoloration. I went back to visit one of my friends' parties and they kicked me out of the club. It was utterly embarrassing. I was treated like a hoodlum. The security looked very angry at me and viscous, as if I was about to be socked. All I did was ask why. It was a true insult to my injury. I never even hired a lawyer or anything. All I asked is if they would cover my freaking bills and have their insurance cover mine and for the claim to cover pain and suffering. I have not been able to work out since then. They are selfish, rude and use you like a rug. While they may seem like a friend, they don't care. That night, I asked the owner Robin Ganz herself for help and she made a comment, ""Oh you just want Julie the promotoer to kiss it."". I was literally crying in pain. I asked for the very least. It wouldn't even have come out of their pocket because they pay insurance, the building insurance would just reimburse mine, and they won't even let that happen. They told the security to mock me and tell me they have never heard or see that happen to anyone and say they weren't there to see it happen. They just want your money. Truly they hate people in their 20's unlike their competitor

What a Snore - Three Strikes You're Out

This club is over priced, tacky, and has a horrible selection of music. It is like every other big gay bar in Weho. The decor, the clientele, and the watered down drinks do not justify the cover price or even the extensive line.

First time I went in, I felt like I had just entered the Hollywood wax museum. Older men dressing like they where 21 with so many botox injections that I feared for my life. Nobody dances till much later. And by the time the dancing starts, everyone is sh*t faced and incredibly gropey and creepy.

Second time, for my friends birthday, same experience. And I got hitt on by the guy who looks like the guy from the Mens Wearhouse commercials (You're gonna like the way you look) and my straight female friend had a guy stick his hand up her skirt.

Third time, I was invited by friends who really liked Jessica Simpson to go see her perform. This club is just the right kind of tacky for someone like Jessica, but as with the prior two times, I wanted to support my friends (I guess I need new friends) and I was turned away for having very stylish, and very cool flip flops on.

WTF? They think they can turn someone away for wearing very cute, Socal flip flops? Hellooo? This is Weho. The Abbey doesn't have a dress code, Rage, Mickeys..nowhere else does but this place. And it's just like all the others. The bouncers are straight looking and they look fearful that if you go up and ask them a question they are going to catch your gayso they are veyr unhelpful and very awkward.

Their website, and this review website all state that the dress code is casual. They won't let someone in with flip flops, but if you have 100 botox injections and like to wear polyester, you're totally in buddy.

Not worth the wait. Not worth the price. Their website claims this is an excellent place to have a fashion show or an academy award party..yeah right. Maybe if you're throwing a D list movie premier or a JC Penny fashion show. Go to the Abbey instead.

Nice looking place, but disappointing

My partner and I just moved to LA, and we expected the nightlife to be much better. The curtained areas were nice, and the 2 room setting also a plus. The DJ played tired GoGo's and 80's music. The GoGo dancers - well, interesting. One looked like she was in a world of her own - no interaction. This was a great big disappointment. A pretty place, but no life. Too expensive.

hmmmmm....

This place was well the only big night club in LA for the gays. It was kind of like the ROXY in NYC, but the music was no where near as good, the crowd was cute but not consistant, its one big room with a b-rate sound system and lighting, the only good thing is that the bathrooms are huge, front bar is tragic. I was surprised to find this type of a late night dance venue in LA, but the gays there were just got getting it. If you have that craving to go out and dance in LA go for it, just don't expedct much.

Weho's Only ""Real"" Danceclub

A very mixed bag depending on which night you go. Best bet usually is Saturday nights which draws a packed but not an ""A List"" crowd. Unfortunately, it is West Hollywood's only real dance club (as opposed to a dance bar). People complaining about the cover in the other reviews must not be from major cities, where club covers are often 3-4 times what it is at the Factory.

Not Your Usual Saturday Night Club

I cannot express what an awful time I had at The Factory. The music was not that great and the atmosphere was too humid. This place gets so packed that you have no room to dance. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Spin some groove music, please!

Girlbar on Friday nights are happenin' with lots of women. But the music makes me wanna do jumping jacks. Too much house and not enough groove music. Give the ladies a chance to get their freak-on! The price of drinks are a rip-off.
