A TRUE Greek restaurant!! Many restaurants in Charlotte are Greek-owned, yet their menus consist of typical American fare. NOT THIS ONE! The menu, though fairly limited, consists of true Greek dishes. Their "Hand-Cut Fries" are wonderful and you have 3 flavor options for them: Plain, Cumin & Garlic, or Lemon & Oregano. We had Lemon & Oregano. Do NOT interfere with their awesome flavor by covering them in ketchup! The Tzatziki (cucumber) sauce is quite good even though my personal preference is for a stronger garlic & dill flavor, Do NOT pass up this restaurant - it's everything you want in Greek food AND the prices are extremely reasonable.
The food was really tasty. Spouse and I ordered a Salmon Entre with a Lobster Mac side...it was so good. There was plenty of food one side dish coul…
We visit The Lodge pretty regularly and always have found the food, service, pricing and atmosphere to be great for a neighborhood pub operation. However, we found on our most recent visit that a live musician has been added. The gentlemen has a decent singing voice, but his style and repetoire are not in sync with the atmosphere of the place. Quite frankly, we found the singing somewhat annoying as we ate our dinner. No offense to the young man singing who is trying to earn some bucks, but it just doesn't mesh with The Lodge's sports bar/neighborhood pub style.
This place has one of the best beer selections in South Charlotte. The place to go if you're serious about your beer. The food is good, too, especially the fries. I'm only giving three stars because of the sports bar aspect. What would otherwise be a relaxing tavern-like experience is ruined by the blaring tvs all over the place. I think there's enough places where you can grab a beer and watch the game. How about a place where you can grab a beer and chat with your friend?
