Riverside Park Campground

Place is horrible. She will steal your money. Check out the Better Business Bureau link http://www.bbb.org/boston/business-reviews/camps/riverside-campground-in-wells-me-13226/complaints. Pulled into the campground with out a reservation in July. Campground was empty except for a few sites. Campsite was very small asked for anther and that site was just as small. Told the lady we wanted to leave and she said ok and the owner would have to do the refund because she doesn't know how to do them. Owner called me later that night and told me they do not give refunds and keep my money. I knows she needs the money because no one goes there but really to steal like that is unheard off. We were there for maybe 10 minutes. Business like this need to understand they can not do this to people.

Stay away from Riverside!!! The owners are rude and the campground is a complete dump! My family and I were extremely disappointed with our stay here. We loved Maine but this "camping" experience was anything but pleasant. They will nickle and dime you to death! The fire wood was costly, you have to pay to use the shower (and it isn't clean) and pay for the internet. The pool is small and ditry. The campsite are cramped and not private. We would have been better off at a Wal-mart parking lot.

Keep Driving! We stayed here in July 4th weekend and had a awful experience. OMG the tent in the next site was up against ours! Sites are tiny and crammed together. Bathrooms are maybe cleaned in morning and then left till next day. If you shower in afternoon you better wear boots. Yuck!! and then to add to the mess the power went out in the shower and the water shutoff. I had to leave and walk a 1/4 mile in a towel and soapy to be told the owner was not at campground and would turn on later in day. I had to rinse my hair with hose. This is not right. Seasonals told us the power fails all the time and to get used to it. Great. It seems the owners know they have serious electric problem but don't care. They put a fan near electric box. My dad says you can not fix with a fan. He said the owner must be really dumb, besides being cheap. I think by now you can see this review would not get better if I continue so I will end by saying.....Stay elsewhere....It was my vacation and it was ruined. I tried to end review but the site would not let me unless I left at least one star. I did. But I take it back!!!
