Buffet City

We have eaten here several times & were quite pleased with the food. However, the last time was definitely the last time. The chicken was not cooked...it was raw past the nice brown coating, & the shrimp was rotten...meaning mushy, horrific tasting. When we complained, we were brushed off as if it were nothing. We won't be back & tell others not to waste their time or money.

This buffet is one of the best bargains in town, particularly if you like shrimp and sushi. There are also a lot of the usual items you'd find on a Chinese buffet, including deep-fried items, but if you're a calorie-counter like me, you can still eat very well here.



My favorites: Crab with cheese -- it's the fake crab, but very well-done and tasty. The baked salmon is almost always excellent (more poached than baked, but delicious). Shrimp are always good. My husband loves the crab legs (served only on weekends, I think), and we load up on the sushi. I adore the sauteed mushrooms. The lo mein is very good. The brown pan cake in the dessert section, cut into little pieces, tastes like tiramisu -- very tasty, and you can just get a little piece to not overdo it. The soups are consistently good. My husband says the fried catfish is better than what he had at Catfish Plantation.



Where else can you get all the decent seafood you want, for under $10? (We get water to drink, and the buffet is about $9.50).
