My family and I go here all the time. We especially come here when we have friends and family visiting us. I have read a few bad review and some good reviews. I would definately go with the good reviews. Some people are just hard to please. I know the staff very well and they always take good care of you and your guests. ""Thumbs Up!""
We go there quite often but get there early as it gets packed rather quickly. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have found all to be very tasty. From the silican steak, baked ziti, pizza is awesome and ravioli. You can't go wrong with the specials either. Have glass of the house wine and sit back and relax. But remember it's a family rest. and it does get a little noisy when it's packed!

I ordered a large pepperoni pizza to take home.
The were courteous on the phone.
When we got to the restaurant, parking was scarce and a little dangerous in that little parking lot. My husband made the comment that he would not come back there just because of parking.
When we went inside, it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and I don't think I could ever sit inside and eat.
But the pizza was really good. One of the better ones I've eaten in Waukesha County. Despite the parking, I would go back for another pizza.
Our group of hungry people decided on Michael's. As an incentive, we planned to use coupons appearing in a Waukesha coupon magazine. Our group was split up at 2 large tables. Before ordering we informed the waitress of the coupons. She checked and said they could be used. Among the offers were one free entree with the purchase of another at an equal or lower price; another -- $10.00 off, etc. The coupons did NOT specify that they couldn't be used in a group situation. At the end of dinner, the waitress returned to inform us that the coupons couldn't be honored because we were in a group setting. The waitress indicated that the decision was made by one of the managers AFTER we ate. AGAIN--THERE WAS NO DISCLAIMER TO THIS EFFECT ON THE COUPONS. Another couple was allowed to use one coupon for their dinners. Rather than create an unpleasant scene, we voiced our concerns to the waitress, paid, and left with the intention of writing to the owner and possibly notifying the Wisconsin state consumer affairs office. The food seemed pricey for starters, some beverages arrived slowly. In all, it was not a pleasant experience. The "reward" they will receive for their sneaky tactics will be our resolve not to return there. Competition is great; there are restaurants that subscribe to better customer relations and ethics.

I placed an order for take-out and the person who answered the phone did not know what half of the items were on the menu or how to pronounce them. Upon arrival, a coupon that was from the city clipper coupon magazine was not honored even though it did not say ""Dine-in only"". After being frustrated with that experience, I arrived at home to find out that the dinner salads were not included. We called and were told we could come back and get them or they would give us a credit for two side salads. Picking up the salads was not an option as we are 15 minutes away and that would mean that the rest of our food would be ruined by the time I returned. The credit was also worthlessas these salads are already included with each entree! When we called, we were treated like an inconvenience, not a good customer who has frequented Michael's for the past 5 years. Needless to say, we are not going back for average food with extremely poor service.
We usually use this restaurant for take-out because we can get a satisfying meal rather quickly without having to deal with waiting for a table, etc. They always have it ready quickly and it travels nicely. Packaged in a way that the food remains hot until well after we arrive home with it.
