Use YP's sizzling summer checklist to pack in as many backyard barbecues, family trips, and memorable outings as you can before the kids head back to school.
Last week, a friend of mine took me to a Restaurant called, Nick's Country Oven, located at 2505 Pontiac Lake Rd, Waterford, MI 48328. Phone 248-681-5800. It was the 1st time I have been there, as this location hasn't been open for that long, and I live in the Clarkston area, so I haven't been in this area lately. (FYI -They are located right across from the Oakland County Road Commission, and just across Telegraph on Pontiac Lake Rd., from the Oakland County Court House, County Jail, and County Office's complex.) BUT - what I found was the best home-made food I've eaten, out in a restaurant, in I can't tell you when. The manager's for this location, Martin and Pam, along with their daughter, Jackie, made us feel like we were family from the minute we walked in. I can't express how exciting it was to find truly great food, at extremely reasonable prices, and in such a friendly, and spotlessly clean restaurant. If you need food fast, just call ahead!! If you need a small or large room for an office meeting, a shower, a holiday get together with family and friends, a room to hold a networking meeting, etc., they have it. They also have lunch specials from 11am-3pm that can be take-out or eat in and ready for you when you get there, if you phone ahead and place your order! I also noticed a bulletin board in their entryway, that showed a rotating diner special for everyday of the week. I would call their food menu International Cuisine, because I didn't see a culture that couldn't find something to eat that would take them back to their roots and make them feel like were back home!! I really hope you will try them. You won't be disappointed....Oh, and every Friday is all you can eat fish and chips! IT WAS THE BEST! Yum....:-)
I LOVE THIS PLACE! I normally wouldn't go to the same restaurant often, because I grow tired of the same food over and over. But Nick's selection of food is huge you can get sweet and sour chicken all the way to Greek and American! Their spaghetti is awesome and my son loves the fries my brother in law says their Alfredo is fantastic and I personally LOVE their Lemon rice soup best in TOWN! (I actually make my husband stop there to grab a quart of it to bring home to me.) Oh and by the way the service is amazing you will leave wanting and begging your wallet to fork out more cash to leave your waitress or waiter they are friendly and wonderful with the kids. I can not stress enough the clean and healthy family environment they offer is AMAZING! Beats apple bees, rams horn, village place, and all coneys in the Waterford area HANDS DOWN!
We had a wonderful experience at Dobski's. We had heard that it was expensive and were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable pricing and friendly service. I grew up in a Polish family and with the first bite of my stuffed cabbage dinner I took a trip down memory lane. It was nice that all of there entrees came with a salad or a cup of soup, which barely happens anywhere anymore. I would most definitely recommend Dobski's to anyone looking for a good place to eat.
