The first time I went here I was expecting a "hole in the wall." However once you get to the main dinning area the atmosphere is very welcoming and social. The restaurant is decorated in Mexican themes pictures and imported beer advertisements. The staff is very good but appears to run on a "skeleton crew." Sometimes especially in the daytime orders take longer than expected but not long enough to be inconvenient. The food is very good, hot spicy and tasty! Just a heads up most everything on the menu is greasy and highly processed. It delicious but not something to eat often if you like your arteries clear. I would recommend trying it at least twice, EVEN if the first try was enough for you....maybe order something different they have a large menu.
Crave real Mexican food not the drive thru~ this restaurant is run by guys who make authentic food that is so delicious ! You are greeted by friendly staff and before you fiish sitting down you have your free end;ess chips and salsa. Food is priced reasonable you won't leave hungry. You won't ever gp anywhere. Detroit always goes "downtown" for Mexican. No more. El Patio rocks. If you like Flan , that only makes your visit more enjoyable. Now go eat.
This restaurant has become my favorite for Mediterranean Cuisine. My personal favoites are the Chicken Shawarma dinner/sandwich and the Lentil soup. The serving sizes for the dinners are very generous as is the staff. Service is great and I would I highly recommend La Marsa to anyone in search of great Mediterranean food!
