This Tae Kwon Do school is an amazing gem hidden in the city! The owner / head teacher is a 5th degree Black belt with many awards and 30 years of training. She is very in-tune with EVERY student she takes into the school. I loved that she has a 2 week FREE trial for the student to assess the school and also for her to assess the student. I also appreciate that unlike many other school, she DOES NOT invite a student to test for their next belt unless she is positive that they will pass, this helps stop people from spending unnecessary money in a tight economy. Another great feature is you only pay one monthly fee and are free to come to as many classes per week that are appropriate for your age and belt (which usually means that you potentially can go up to 5 days per week). One thing that some may comment as a down fall is the appearance of the school but it still being worked on because it is only recently that the school moved to its current location after being in it prior location for 20 years! I love that I found this school for my children and family we all have grown from becoming involved with all the great families that also attend. Definitely worth checking out for a few weeks to see if it's right for you!
I have trained here for a few years now at times with Ron's Filipino arts and more recently with the Wing Chun instructor. This school is the real deal if you want to learn a martial art and how to apply it to a resisting opponent. There are lots of martial arts schools out there that teach you techniques, but never teach you how to apply them to a resisting opponent. I'm happy to say this school teaches you application against resisting partners.
