Two days ago I had an issue in my Refrigerator, I made some research online and found DC Appliances Repair. I called the company, exactly after one hour the technician was in front my door. He meticulously exanimate the refrigerator, found the problem and fix it within 30 minute. I am really surprised and amazed how fast was the guy. not only fix my old refrigerator but he saved me time and money by not buying a new one. I want to say thank you to this company. I highly recommend their services.

Came home from work to find the ice in the icemaker melted, the freezer at 5 degrees, refrigerator at 50 degrees and the milk soured. Went on GE's web page and the first appointment they could give me was in a week. Not being able to go a week with a functioning refrigerator, I went on Yelp and found Washington DC Appliances Repair.



Knowing it was after hours, I called and left a message around 12 midnight and got a call 8 AM the following morning. Richard was fully booked that day, but said he would try to fit me in around 5 PM. He called me around 4.50 PM to say he was about 30 minutes out and arrived around 530 PM. His communication was awesome.



When we first talked, Richard asked a bunch of specific questions to try to determine what the problem was so he could make sure he had parts on hand when he arrived. After looking at the refrigerator, he said 9 times out of 10 the problems I had were related to the fan, so he started there as its a cheaper part but takes longer to replace.



After trying a replacement fan, it still didn't work, so he begrudgingly tried the more expensive circuit board and it still didn't work. After tweaking it a little, Tim got it to work and took out the circuit board to make sure that wasn't necessary and it wasn't, saving me on a $150+ part. A less scrupulous repairman could have left it in and charged me more. Oh, and he left the broken fan to prove that he actually replaced it.



All in all, it cost me just under $300 for the labor and part and I had a working refrigerator again. Tim did a great job cleaning up after himself, mopping up the melted ice. I asked him about a busted garbage disposal/dishwasher and after taking a quick look he said I needed a plumber. Again, this was an opportunity for him to make money off of me, but he gave me good advice instead.



I highly recommend Richard and will definitely be adding him to my list of repairmen. Not only does he communicate much better than any repair service I've ever used, I like the idea of supporting a small local business.

Called DC Appliance Repair with faulty dishwasher that had been plaguing us for ages. The technician showed up and after much searching found a v small leak that had been causing the dishwasher to shut down. He fixed the problem quickly and efficiently and was very reasonably priced. He was courteous and polite and did an awesome job. All in all great experience with him and would call him back in a heartbeat should there be any other issues with the dishwasher or any other appliance (fridges/ovens/stove tops and washer/dryers) that these guys service.

Service was good. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. Service on a Saturday (and had to come back Sunday for the actual repair). The technician quickly figured out the problem and was able to repair quickly. I would recommend them and use them again.

I don't really like to write reviews but I felt that I owe it to them..

I own few properties and I have been using this company for the last three years , I called them late last night to repair the refrigerator for my apartment in falls church , they give a next day appointment .my single mom tenant was 30 mn late while from her sons school , the friendly technician was outside the door waiting for her , he even helped her with her bags .He fixes the refrigerator in less than 10mn, and didn't even charge me for the fuse .

I highly recommend this company and I will certainly pass their number to my friends and family .

As always, the visit was great - easy to make an appointment over the phone,the problem was solving during the visit,I received some helpful advice for the future, and they were as ever. I could not recommend them more highly!

Technician was on-time and even called ahead to let me know. He inspected it, ordered the part and was back within one day to install and at a reasonable cost compared to Sears.
