Pretty poor selection of very over priced items that tend to go bad on the way home or within a day or two but........there aren't many options in the neighborhood so why complain? Staff seems to change a lot but some of the longer term cashiers are pretty nice (one particular older woman is super efficient and a mean packer)! They need to get the Watergate Complex to let them use an elevator because it's downstairs and the escalator is always out of order). Lots of seniors and myself struggling to get groceries up stairs. I thinks it's a pretty small store in a primo location with a very captive audience so possibly Safeway doesn't think they have to put much 'into' it (in terms of goods and the physical surroundings).
