The food is excellent. The portions are huge. The service is superb. The ambiance is fitting. It feels like you are in Naples. Try the house red wine. You'll love it. My wife and I had a romantic evening meal. Best Italian food I've eaten.

Traveled to DC for a little history in Summer 2010. Researched Italian restaurants online before hand. Found Giovanni's Trattu.. Great little Italian restaurant. Good service, food was ridiculously great! I had the Gnocchi..fantastic! My wife had Veal Scallopini, which was VERY good as well. Very small restaurant, downstairs from street level. Highly recommend.
