Charmed Hair Salon

From the salon to my car I was stopped four times for BOTH MEN AND WOMEN to compliment my appearance and hair. They really made me feel like a supermodel. I will certainly be back to Charmed with Selim and I would suggest the same for you!

I used a daily deal for highlights and a haircut, and Reda did a great job. He listened to what I wanted (less brassy, less washed out, but still blonde), and recommended that we do some highlights and lowlights so that my hair would look a little more natural. My haircut looks good too--my hair feels lighter and much healthier, even though he took less than an inch off. I'd go back and pay full price, which is a big compliment when you can almost always find a deal for hair services these days.

Reda is great. Thorough and meticulous. If you're a dude who has longish-hair, this a great place to go.

Selim has a talent for cuts. I often show up a little earlier than expected because I work very close. While I'm waiting I have watched him transform some terrible hair. He is able to look at a person's face shape and consider their hair characteristics and time commitment for a perfect cut. I have seen several women be completely transformed from your typical DC K streeter into a younger, fresher, more fashionable person due to his talent. I have a TON of long hair and Selim expertly cuts layers that give me a lot of movement and lay soft around my face but are never blunt. He also performs magic when he blows it out.

I have naturally blond hair that I used to never have to color because I was younger and got a lot of sun. Now that I live in DC and work primarily indoors, my hair gets pretty dark in the winter and needs highlights all year round. Selim does fantastic blond highlights! They look very natural but brighten up my eyes and look perfect with my complexion. He will adjust the color depending on the time of year so that it always looks very natural but much brighter and more vibrant than it would naturally.

I LOVE Charmed. I have been going to Selim for two years and can promise you will not be disappointed. I have lived all over the country and in Europe and he is hands down the best hair stylist I have ever had. He does a fantastic job with both my cut and color. The salon itself is a welcome escape from DC and always has awesome music playing and is not at all pretentious. It is very cool and downtown chic with a European feel since most of the employees are from Turkey.

I ended up accepting his advice and got honey blonde full highlights and a cut and also a mud mask on my hair for free since I was a new client. He also said that if I referred 2 clients I'd get a free cut and color I was happy to hear that since you don’t get that benefit from many other hair salons. His assistant gently wash my hair she was nice even though she didn't talk as much she did her job right and was friendly. it was my first time in this hair salon but I have never experience great customer service from 1-10 his customer service was 10 I enjoyed talking to him he was very nice overall I would highly recommend this salon to other people.

If you can think outside the box of how your usual salon is run, you're going to really like this place. You have to be open to waiting in between your treatments, seeing different people throughout your services, and watching your stylist tend to other clients while you’re under the dryer. Its how small salon's like Charmed stay alive.

I was with Selim. From the beginning he was attentive, involved, creative and complimentary. If you're the kind of person who wants things done your way and you bring in a picture and say "do this" You're not going to like it. Selim has an eye for making you look your absolute best, and while he'll stick within your limitations, he's really not going to listen to everything you want. I'm pretty easy going so I told him basically to do whatever he wanted, he completely delivered.

Tufan did my coloring. He was also excellent. He was friendly and chatted me up throughout the entire visit. After the blow drying, my hair looked healthy and shinning. You get a high quality cut, great customer service and a clean salon for a very reasonable price. Added bonus was it was a short walk from the Metro.

I used a Groupon for a cut/highlights with Reda over a year ago, and have been going back ever since. He is awesome- remembers me every time I come in, spends time on my hair and never seems to rush. The highlights look very natural, and he manages to cut my hair in a way that makes it look so much fuller and healthier without taking off a lot of length. As a bonus, he is just a pleasure to chat with. I leave happy every time!

Selim has cut my hair for years. When it was long, he worked his magic and created waves in what I swore was straight hair. Now that it's short, it's the perfect wash-and-go style. I've referred everyone to him, from co-workers to strangers who have stopped me on the street. My hair has never looked better!

I am brand new in town and was in need of a coloring and cut. I got the Groupon deal but was a little nervous AFTER reading some of the negative reviews. I am so glad I came. Selim cut my hair and did an excellent job. He made sure the cut was perfect going over everything to make sure I looked great.

Reda has been doing my hair for about 2 years - cut and highlights. He's really good, and very nice. I'm glad I found him.
