Action Al's Tire Co.

i would like to first make an apology to action al's tire company and it's employees. I wrote a review in November that was not favorable for the company. it was written out of anger over a certain situation that I had encountered. in all reality I made the mistake of not talking to the right person in the beginning in an effort to get the problem resolved. in reality, action al's is a very good company. I have done business with them for years, and that's why I was so upset with what took place at that time. after the situation seemed as if it was going nowhere, I had to seek advise from an attorney, which I did not want to do, but had no choice at that time. the safety of my spouse, kids and grand kids was at stake. but after talking to Lori, she straightened out the situation with no problem. granted, the situation was beyond my control and I did what I felt was necessary. the employees are always friendly and I would recommend them to anyone that needs tires or related services. their prices are always good, and I DO plan on continuing doing business with them. to the employees, I apologize for any bad feelings that came from this. you were doing what you could to help me in the situation, but it just went a little wrong and I was looking out for the safety of my loved ones. it was never about trying to get money from you. I hope you understand. I believe that you would do the same thing that I did. in all, Action Al's is as I would say "the best tire company in DC" , and as Arnold said, I'll be back!. if you need tires, you need to go there!

Absolutely perfect service. My daughter is at UMD, and curbed a tire to death. I contacted Al's and reached Dave, who took great care of her, calling me at every stage to keep me posted. For an out-of-state father, I couldn't have been happier with the service, great professionalism, and very competitive price.

I have been to Action Al's (located at 2515 Bladensburg Rd, NE) on 2 separate occasions within the last year. On both occasions, the gentleman who was removing my tires from my truck with an air wrench, wrenched off one of my lugs and messed up the threads on the other lug that the lug nut could no longer screw on. This created a safety issue for me. This problem would not have bothered me except that he didn't even take responsibility for his actions. I was told in a very nonchalant manner that "I could purchase the replacement lugs at an auto parts store and install them myself for little to nothing". My thought about his comment was "Are you kidding me? You damage my vehicle and then I should be the one to pay for the repair? Although Action Al's is the best place to go for tires and the management/counter sales assoc. are extremely friendly, I think they I think they should have at least paid for the replacement parts, seeing as how I have been going there for more than 25 years!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY THE MOST FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT, PROFESSIONAL, AND EASY EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD WITH TIRES, EVER! I have high performance tires on my vehicles.



HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE FOLKS AT ACTION AL'S (don't get turned off by the name or location).

Just came from Action Al's. This was the best experience I've EVER had getting tires. I called the day before, my tires were there when I arrived and I was out in less than an hour! The staff was incredible: efficient, helpful, friendly. And to top it off, I got the best price, even better than one of the big box discount stores and the price includes free rotation every 5000 miles and all flat repairs. As another reviewer commented, do not be put off by the location and appearance. I would highly recommend to anyone including my 80+ mother! I will go back!

The service here was great, and they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We came from Florida and my Mother was attending a convention and the tires on our trailer went out. they fixed both ties and got us back to the convention before it opened. From now on we will be using them when it it time to get new tires. Thanks for your help.

Don’t be fooled by the humbleness of the shop, these guys have been in business for a long time. They treat you with respect and courtesy and don’t look to just make a buck. I bought a set of tires on line for my car, then was referred to Al’s when looking for tires for my daughter’s car. 4 brand new tires for a great price, the tires were great and 2 yrs. later still in good condition. The ones I purchased on line are shot, so now I’m going to Action Al’s for tires for my car.
