My relative has been there for almost 3 years and it's no different than any other facility I've been to. If you're worried about your loved one's care, visit often. The state and these homes are SO GREEDY about how the person will pay and how long they will be able to pay that Warren Woods became the only option for us, and the only place who was willing to take my family member right away. For that, I will always be grateful. Plus they have activities around the clock and even go on outings every month, something my relative could not do while receiving care in his own home. This place has been a blessing for us, but I still visit VERY OFTEN. You have to. Also, they have a pretty low turnover rate. I've been dealing with the same staff since Day 1 and appreciate that.

DHS is governed by the Dept. of Agriculture. If you feel that you are wronged by a caseworker I would suggest contacting them with your complaint. (312)353-6664 If you reach a voice mailbox, leave your contact info and they will call you back... The number listed above is for the Chicago office and they oversee Michigan DHS Offices..
DHS will save you if you fall on hard times. Don't lie to them and maybe they won't come back and garnish wages. That's the only way they can be frauds but, in reality, that would make you the fraud....don't ya think?
