There are places that are cheaper than us sure, but its one of those things where you get what you pay for. Our facility is top of the line in security mostly because we are very fortunate to have an amazing clientele here. We are also the only storage company within a 20 mile radius that has never had a break in. You might think not a big deal its Walnut Creek right? Not the case. 2010 was a horrible year for break-ins in the storage industry. Storage companies were even on the news and in the news papers for criminal activities ranging from burglary, domestic violence, murder, possession of illegal substances and guns. People were even tunneling through walls to get into other peoples units! Most company’s employees will tell you they have never had any problems. Such as rodents, leaks in the ceilings, mold, etc. and they will almost always say they have never had a break-in. It’s not a big selling point to tell a potential tenant that someone recently was robbed or had their items damaged. I personally have interviewed, secret shopped and managed other companies that are in the storage industry. They really are not our competitors because they don’t offer what Price offers. Cleanliness, peace of mind, amazing tenants, great location, free moving truck with driver, individual alarms on every unit, full time maintenance technician, 11ft ceilings, all steel and concrete construction, garage style roll up doors or everything from 5x5s – 10x40 units, climate controlled inside units, moving carts, wine storage, elite clientele base, the list goes on and on. For all of those reading the reviews and searching for storage I encourage for you not only to call the local police department before making a decision but also going to the facility to see the quality and safety of the location you are planning on storing with. Those who have known me for a decade or two know I've always used storage as I seem to relocate a lot, and I also have a business and use the extra space for a myriad of reasons. Security Public Storage has won me over. When I started renting space, another company was in place, and things were a mess...gate codes didn't work, trash wasn't removed promptly, carts and elevators were unreliable and the staff...well, they were less than exciting. Enter Security Public Storage...they have positioned a wonderful couple as onsite managers who also reside above the office which makes me feel SO confident when it comes to safety and security of my belongings. The grounds are neat and tidy. The gate works...every time! the carts are all in proper working condition all hallways have working lighting. Yay! I'll probably be a customer here for some time, and I highly recommend using them if you need storage in the north east part of the Bay Area...it's worth driving a bit to use the facility compared to most other facilities. Don't waste your time looking at other storage facilities. Security public storage is the place you want to be. I looked here first and then compared all the other self storage places in Walnut Creek. There was no comparison. Security public storage has competitive prices, units are easy to access with large freight elevators, the security system for each unit is top notch, many different unit sizes to choose from, and customer service is what led me to write this review. I have been renting a locker for a while and wanted to upgrade. The staff put me on a waiting list and promptly called me when a unit was available. My phone calls and emails have been returned promptly, and the autopay setup is one less thing to worry about each month. The managers and staff truly care about this business. If I move outside Walnut Creek I will continue as a loyal customer at this location.
