We ordered take out. Brought it home and the bottom was burned, black. Another time we went to the restaurant it self and ate out side. My girlfriend ordered a fountain pop and I want to try it cause it was a new kind that I have never tried. I went in side to get her a refill and one of the staff members said in a sarcastic tone, ""Thirsty?"" I found to be rude and I should I said something. They can not even show respect. Never again and Never again to friends!!!!

The person that wrote ""excellent REAL NY slice"" has obviously never been to NY and had pizza! NOTHING in this town compares but this place tastes like something out of a grocery reheated! However, my complaint isn't with the food - it's what one has to go through just to be served tasteless food - the STAFF is the rudest and could not give one flying fig about the patrons. I strongly suggest the owner hire a new manager and then a new service staff. NEVER again!!
If the food was good the staff they employ would STILL be an issue. The food is okay if you are desperate. However, I would never again tolerate being treated with such rudeness by the people working there. And whatever you do - DON'T ask for delivery! I'm all for employing the handicapped but only if they can adequately take an order AND make sure it is sent out - that should be mandatory. Twice I have ordered from this place and the order was NEVER given to the kitchen (at least ...view morethat is what I was told when the order never arrived). Beware of this one - staff is incompetent.view less
The pizza is adequate BUT the customer service is the WORST I have ever experienced in any arena! While placing an order I spoke with a female and I had to prompt HER to ask for my address, phone number, etc. Then when the pizza was over 2 hours late I called to complain and she told ME she didn't like my tone and hung up the phone on me!! Can you EVEN?? I come from NY city where customer service is a joke but even there I have NEVER been treated this way. I would never call back ...view moreto this place - let them sell their pizza to someone dying of hunger. And they would probably be dead before the pizza is delivered!view less
It's really hard to get good, thin-crust New York Pizza. Most places have spongy, doughy crusts. Other places go to the extreme opposite having cracker thin crusts laden with oil. Getting it right -- in between those two -- is tough (although the NY pizza joints have it down). The closest in the Bay Area is Arinell's in Berkeley. New York Pizza in Walnut Creek is just as good and has been, on occasion, even better.
It's low on ambience, good for a slice or take-away. It's ope...view moren late and the staff are friendly and capable. Whoever longs for the days of ""Piggy's"" needs to stop making comments on pizza places...view less
NY Pizza, formerly known as Piggy's Pizza, used to serve great fresh pizza in a lively and exciting environment. NY Pizza leaves much to be desired. I was very dissapointed at the quality of the meal I was served. The pizza was sub-par, unoriginal and tasted stale.
