I received a gift card from my mother that the Nail Shop forgot to put actual $ on which would have totaled $10. When I went to redeem the card (again a nominal amt.) the person who works at the front hassled me about having a receipt for the gift card. In the process of trying to locate this for her my manicure got very damaged. I actually had tipped 20% prior to this encounter and ended up with a less then satisfactory manicure & an uncomfortable situation with the employee which drew attention from other patrons.
I would like to also note that I took my entire bridal party to this location about two years ago and treated them to manicures and pedicures spending hundreds of dollars (roughly $500) on that occasion not to mention the other times I visited the shop.
I did not receive an apology from this employee or the owner whom I called to notify of the situation. As someone who loves to get my nails done, I will likely not return and it is too bad for the salon when there is so much competition out there.
