Best Thai Restaurant hands down

This place is a real find! They are just a short distance from the main thoroughfare, Mt. Diablo Blvd.

The space is not large, but very inviting. The female servers are generally dressed in traditional garb, which is quite beautiful. The setting itself is inviting with a definite Thai influence, but not overwhelmingly so.

The food is the best Thai food I've ever eaten and Thai food is one of my favorites. Their Yellow Curry is simply to die for!! Subtle, unforgetable flavors that keep us coming back over and over again. Soups are wonderful, and my family ALWAYS leaves there very happy!

Relaxing, inviting, understated: a real gem!

Eaten here several times.. This place is better than most anything I have found in SF or Vegas. Try it and you will be happy

Food left something to be desired

We went here once, and were completely disappointed. We ordered common Thai dishes we have had before, and they tasted nothing like (we think) they should. We were completely disappointed since the place was busy and looked like it should be good.

DELICIOUS Thai food in a Quaint, relaxing atmosphere

I was a little worried when my once favorite Walnut Creek restaurant (""Royal Thai Palace"") changed hands and names in the last year, becoming ""Erawan."" But let me tell you, this place is still RIGHT ON with both service and food! The staff are lovely, gracious people, often dressed in beautiful traditional Thai dress, and always with a warm smile. I'm completely addicted to their Panang Chicken Curry, which is so good that sometimes I wonder if it's more a dessert than an entree! Also on my must have list: ""Fresh Rolls (with shrimp)."" These are like (huge!) spring rolls with bean thread, carrots, fresh basil and shrimp, served with a sweet peanut sauce. YUM!!

This restaurant is a little gem that not everyone knows about. Hopefully my posting this review will not end up making my favorite Thai restaurant just as crowded as the competition down the block. But I just felt like I should sing their praises anyway.

Better than the rest Thai cuisine in Walnut Creek.

Thai food is gooood!! It's my favorite, and I'm not even Thai. Small and cozy location, and so far the best Thai food in Walnut Creek. Moved here from a place that has tons of Thai restaurants and this comes the closest to being at home. Try it out sometime. The Pad Se Ew is yummy.

ROYAL INDEED

Hottest dishes from Royal Thai:

1. Garlic Chicken
2. Basil Chicken

This place is nice, quiet, and quaint. Definitely a good escape from those big busy restaurants like the Outback Steakhouse.

ENjoY!
