My girls were enrolled at a different ballet school before we moved over to Contra Costa Ballet. I am so glad we did our research and made the switch! The teachers have not only done an amazing job correcting some poor technique habits my daughters picked up from the other school, they've developed within them a true passion for ballet. My oldest performed last year in their Nutcracker at the Lesher Center, and I was so impressed by the caliber and professionalism of the production. The fact that the teachers and directors were professional dancers themselves definitely shows in the students and their performances. They really focus on teaching proper technique and developing poise and confidence in the kids. My daughter attended SFB's summer intensive this year and was invited to stay on for the fall, though we've decided to keep her another year or two at CCB to give her the most solid footing. We've just had an overall great experience at CCB, from the excellent training to the welcoming environment and helpfulness of the teachers and management. And, though a small detail, having its own parking lot in downtown Walnut Creek makes the whole routine that much easier for this busy mom!

beginner to professional classes. lots of opportunity to perform. Great foundation building beginner classes. The small studio also has great dance costumes, music, and an on site costumer! The teacher has a music and dance background and worked miracles for me regarding learning and playing fc patterns/dance integration. This was NO EASY TASK!
My 4yr daughter has been attending classes here on Saturdays for about 4 months - she is really starting to enjoy them as the teachers and program is great. The unexpected benefit is the discipline and respect the kids learn as they're having fun. I wish the parent waiting/viewing area wasn't so small.
