Walked in for a free brake inspection. In less than an hour car was fixed for 100$ less than the dealer

The hours are alright and I like the fact that you can drop your car off before and after hours but I am not pleased with their trouble shooting techniques. I stayed with them for a year although I kept telling myself to find another mechanic. I decided to leave when I was charged $100.00 for diagnostic and the staff would not apply the $100 towards the repair fees as they have always done before. The exact same staff member looked me in my face like he had no clue what I was talking about. I decided to get the repairs done at PepBoys

You must have gone to a different place! I've NEVER heard them say they can diagnose a problem just by looking at a vehicle! Do you work for a competitor maybe? I've been taking my vehicles there for over 10 years and they've always been able to fix them. They use quality parts so they cost a little more, but I've never had to take it back to be fixed again. It always comes out the first time. And the company my husband works for now takes all their vehicles there because of the quality of their work, the quick response, and their reasonable prices.

DO NOT, take your car here to fix anything. They claim to have mechanics that can diagnose a problem by merely looking at car. They claims that they don't need diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot anything. They fix things via the shotgun effect, in other words, change all parts and one of them should fix the problem....
