Island Tan

if i could give this place a ZERO i would. i was a previous employee and it was nothing but drama. i'm not sure if the manager and the employees were worried about competition but for some reason the manager tried to find a million and one reasons to fire me including saying she couldn't work around my school schedule YET she hired me as a student and she ALSO hired a 16 year old still in high school and is able to work around her schedule? it's POOR management. I was given a two week "trial period" over doing nothing wrong and I told her I would speak to the owner and the manager, Tina, proceeded to say that she needed her answer "now" so I told her I would put my two week notice in and still speak to the owner and apparently Tina said "you know what I don't even want you to put your two weeks notice in you can leave". All because I wanted to speak to the owner and wasn't going to take her rudeness and her reasons for trying to put me on a two week trial. I contacted the owner and the owner did nothing about it and did not say anything that pertained to my issues instead told me basically best of wishes. Poor management and poor ownership. Luckily I found another tanning salon that is 10 x's better and that is SunSplash Tans. Avoid this place if you can because they do talk about customers behind their backs as well. Plus they say they don't hire men and yet my manager gave a guy that came in an application. She could of at least told him it was against policy to hire a man or something of that sort. So all in all I ended up quitting and I would never recommend this place to anybody. And the girls there, I don't even want to get started on. They will be quick to turn on you and talk crap behind your back as well. If you can afford it go to SunSplash tans much better quality and I was able to achieve darker color in one session than I did several sessions in Island Tan and if you are hired be aware of the manager Tina, the owner and the girls who work there.

Aloha today May 3 I called Kunia's location and spoke with Yolanda. She was very pleasant. You could hear her positive energy in her voice. She repeated my order and was very efficient. Yolanda asked if there was anything else I would like to order I ended my order at that time. We ordered the Enchillada-Taco Platter, a nacho all beef, a nacho 6-layer cheese and a taco salad. Awesome customer services and tasty dishes. Thanks Yolanda
