Our family has been going to Dr McNeil since he opened his practice here. We've referred friends and they've all been happy with the care they received there. It's easy to see why patients rate him well. And when the Honolulu Magazine listed him in their annual "Best Dentists" issue, that was reassuring to know that he is respected among his peers as well.

Dr Chris McNeil dental office is amazing what a great staff! My wife daugher and I have been seeing Dr McNeil for 20 years he even took my 25 year daughter to Hawaii for his patient testing to get his licencing for Hawaii all expenses paid! Could not ask for a nicer friendly gentle giant ! Doc and I go way back! We have done some traveling and many surf and now kiteboarding sessions together! So Cassie you must be a very unhappy person to write such lies about a great Dr!!!!

Great staff, always ready for the emergency pain solution, most modern equipment, and efficient procedures. basically painless. and the dentist is darn good too :) only gripe comes from my 99 year old mother who hates the stairs. should have one of those elder elevators. would be easy and the maui community is certainly an elder one by demographic. barry spanier, wailuku senior

Great dentist!

Chris (my husband) and I attended Dental School together in 1983. I have had the privilege of watching him grow and evolve within his profession. Chris and I have been together for over 35 years and speaking as one who really knows him, he could have chosen any profession but decided on Dentistry, like his father before him. He really cares about his patients, his family and his friends and he deeply cares about continuing education and remaining at the top of his profession. Chris is a member of the Maui Postgraduate Dental Forum a component of the world renowned Seattle Study Club which is a network of clubs from around the globe. They meet 10 times a year and keep current with what is happening in dentistry and bring dental specialists and experts from the mainland to lecture to their group on a variety of different topics. He is a member of American Dental Assoc and the Hawaii Dental Assoc. Some of Chris's notable characteristics is that he is honest, compassionate, kind, intelligent, humorous, approachable, friendly, works really hard, and bends over backwards for those in need. I know this because I'm his patient, too, as well as his wife and friend.

I do not recommend Chris McNeil for several reasons. The font office is extremely rude. Dr McNeils has made me personally uncomfortable in the chair by asking inappropriate questions. I do not trust his technique. While trying to remove and replace a difficult crown he likely (according to a second opinion) broke my tooth causing me to have to have an extraction. He is unprofessional and lacks empathy. His response when I told him about my tooth was to become angry and defensive and tell me I was ruining his weekend. Then later when I went to pick up my dental records he pulled me aside and became belligerent saying that that it would be nice if he could turn back time so that I could take care of myself better.

Chris has worked on my teeth for 24 years and he is amazing! Thank You Chris!
