My mom desperately wanted to get family photos done on our trip to Maui this past November while everyone, including Grandkids were together. After a lot of research we decided on going with Nicole and Behind the Lens Maui, and we couldn't be happier. Nicole was prompt, helpful & adaptable in all her emails prior to our session. During photo time she was great with the kids and took amazing photos! She far exceeded our expectations and all for an affordable price. We would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Nicole photographed our Trash the Dress session in August while we were on honeymoon and absolutely exceeded our expectations. She is a very talented photographer, such a sweet person and her work speaks for itself. Nicole's fun approach definitely made it easy to pose in public. She was very helpful during the planning process, suggesting locations and times to capture the best Maui photography had to offer. We planned the shoot at a beautiful stretch of beach in Wailea and took some amazing pictures. We had tons of fun too! We felt at ease with her right away, and most importantly she truly captured us. She didn't just pose us and take the standard photos, she let us move and do things that were natural to us and you can see the genuine love in our photos because of this. Afterwards, her service was quick and the results were truly stunning. Not only are Nicole's images out of this world, but she is also one of the warmest kind hearted people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

My husband and I were pleased to have chosen Behind The Lens Maui as our Maui wedding photographer. Behind The Lens Maui not only provided excellent affordable photography packages, but also provided a small wedding package.. which was what my husband and I were looking for!
Behind the Lens Maui handled everything from A to Z.. from coordinating the marriage license.... down to great places to eat and sites to see during our trip to Maui. Nicole was always available to answer any questions we may have had via email, text or telephone.. and even answered questions for us before we asked!! We were linked to other vendors and were just as satisfied with their service provided. Coordinating services from afar can be a bit stressful.. but I knew that I was getting quality service if the referral came from Behind The Lens Maui!
Nicole captured such beautiful moments of my wedding that will be with me and my husband forever! Thanks a bunch!! -

Hello Morgan, I am glad to express my deepest gratitude to you for arranging such a wonderful Maui wedding for us. Both I and my partner can never forget your warm behavior all through our staying there. About the photos and the video, everything was superb. In particularly the picture you took near the beach was just marvelous. We walked barefooted on the sea shore with hands in hand. You capture this moment n your video in a very comfy way. The photos and the videos show how professional you are. The accommodation was perfect. The reception arrangement was also perfect. best maui photographer i've found
as a wedding coordinator, i have used nicole for numerous clients weddings for years, and she always exceeds expectations and makes me look great! when i was looking for someone to shoot some family photos, i turned to nicole, and i knew she would do a great job, but i had no idea just how good. the photos we got back knocked my socks off! my 5 year old daughter usually plasters on a huge fake "cheese!" smile when the camera gets turned on her, but nicole quickly got her relaxed, natural, and let the real smiles come out. her setups were creative, artful, and spontaneous. and the product she gave us (DVD slideshow set to music) was an absolutely beautiful keepsake that we were able to easily share with our whole family and will really cherish forever. and her rates are so reasonable that setting up a photoshoot with her for a special event, vacation momento, or just a family keepsake is a no brainer. i highly recommend. thanks nicole! you're the best!

If you only get one chance to get a picture...
Most people that end up needing a photographer on Maui are here for a once in a lifetime event. Surfing giant waves or getting married you only get one shot at getting the perfect pictures.
Nicole captured everything we hoped for and more during our photoshoot! She was fun to work with and made it easy for us to get comfortable and have fun.
