This place is so good. The food is the best I've ever had and will ruin you for anywhere else. They have fish, steak, seafood, chicken, and anything else you could want for variety.. even elk! Portions aren't huge, but you get bread so that helps. The taste is amazing. We both loved it. Cooked perfectly, and they are known for their sauces. It is a romantic atmosphere. You can dress business casual, but we dressed up and felt comfortable there. There aren't many tables, so it's best to make reservations. They play low music and have candles lit. The food isn't crazy priced, but it is higher than some. www.cheflui.com has their menu and prices. It took me forever to find a site, so maybe this will make it easier. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The dessert looked great, but we were too full to have any. They bring it to the table to show you, then ask if you want to order or not. I wish there was a place this nice near my house!
I took my granddaughter there today. I go there with my friends but this was the frist time for her. The waitress really made her feel comfortable, told her to throw her peanut shells on the floor, everyone does. She took the time to talk to us and it was a busy day today. She took time for all of her customers I could hear her talking to them too. I am sure all of their waitresses are good at what they do but if you really want that one on one that makes you feel like you are the only people in the restaurant ask for Candance. The food was wonderful, I love their Onion Petals, they are so good, not greasy. The best ice tea in town, I drink unsweetened tea so it has to be good to drink it that way, I don't add sweetener.
Man, this little hidden away restaurant is great! The view of the river and hills is beautiful from the outside deck and actually from anywhere in the place. The food was more than amble, tasted great and no shock at the bil total afterwards. The service was friendly and very well paced. Love this joint. I love the bar area too for watching WVU games and my other sport events. Thanks Ricky D!
