This place is AMAZING, they have a great set up, beautifully decorated, top of the line. The waiters are very friendly and helpful, they are very knowledgeable about all the food and drink selections. We had a party of 20 so we were in a private room with two superior waiters, anything we asked for we received in no more then 1 minute later. The food is outstanding, we had the crab dip, the rock shrimp and the crusted green beans as a appitizer, the rock shrimp wasnt my fav but it was still pretty good, the crab dip and crusted green beans are a must. I had the Turf & Surf as my entree it was outstanding, the steak was cooked perfect with great flavor and the shrimp were HUGE it was served on top of a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and we also had their skillet mac & cheese =D it was all VERYYY good. We finished off dinner with the chocolate cake....OH MY GOODNESS, it is heaven, its pretty rich but its served with a rasberry drizzle its a must also. If you are a martini person the dirty martinis are good to! I have nothing bad to say about this place at all, the valet was very good itself and it was complimentery. (Tips only). When in Dallas Hibiscus is a must, be prepared to spend a good chunck of money but it is allll WELL worth it!

4 of us went here before a preseason Mavs game. We order the Fajita Platter and hoped that we could share it, between two of us at $22 for the PLATTER. When we got the bill we were each charged a Split fee of $6 just for sharing. No second set up of guac and sour cream or anything, just a split fee. We didn't even get a second plate. Nowhere is it even mentioned that there will be this fee. There isn't one on Forest!! After that, we got our bills and noticed the fee. I tipped $5.50 on my $25 ticket, and then in a rush, couldn't find my "eaters" copy of my receipt to fill in. In a hurry they all grabbed their receipts and we headed out. 2 days later the charge cleared with a slightly higher charge of $8.50 for tip. I have contacted them and yet to hear anything back. I don't have a copy of my receipt, and I don't want a refund. I just want to make them aware that someone on their staff is stealing from some people at this restaurant. I would hope for higher morals and customer service in such a high end location. I have another friend who was over tipped about 3 weeks ago at the same location before a stars game. We thought it might be a fluke, but now it seems way to coincidental.
As a foodie who loves eating out, York Street is hard for me to rate. The service is great, the food is great and the atmosphere is great, but relative to the the expense it is hard to judge. It is a very expensive restaurant and they only serve around 10 tables in a cute and cozy house. I try to judge my restaurants on some sort of scale to value because I don't want to end up giving good reviews to all nice expensive restaurants and bad reviews to less expensive restaurants because of course for the expense they can afford better food, service, etc. York Street is a tough one for me. It is a great restaurant and they do basically everything well. Their menu is creative and their food is very good. Their service is very attentive, etc. etc. I think I take it down to a very good 4 stars, because I do feel it is just a little overpriced for even as well as they do do everything. And I also feel that there is at times there is a little ego that bleeds through in their service that comes from patrons consistently telling them how great they are and how cute and cozy and wonderful their restaurant is.
