From the exterior, you wouldn't expect much from this restaurant. Once inside, you feel like you've entered posh and elegant cafe. Linens cover the tables and there are nice wood accents throughout the interior. There is also a wonderful view out the window. All four of us had different entrees and we were all very pleased. I had the shrimp with white and green asparagus. It couldn't have been fresher. The asparagus was crisp and flavorful and the shrimp was tender and juicy. The entrees come with soup or salad and a side of a variety of rice. I had the fried rice, again perfection! The salad was fresh and crisp. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back. I think I'll try dinner and enjoy the city lights!
Being in Reno on vacation, coming from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, it was great to find Sushi 7 on a whim after my family was hit with a massive sushi craving after a long day at the slopes. Both my husband and I travel extensively for busines, so we have both eaten in sushi restaurants from Hawaii to New York to Florida and all points in between. Sushi 7 definitely rates in our top 3 favorite restaurants. The fish is extremely fresh, the menu ranges from traditional Japanese and Korean dishes to more adventurous ingredients combined in the one-of-a-kind rolls. The upside down shrimp nigiri are not to be missed. And we simply cannot say enough about the hospitality of both the servers and the owner of the establishment. Its a definite keeper!
I walked into the restaurant not knowing the ownership has been changed and it was a bit surprising. I love how the restaurant transformed from tacky old place to cozy and modern atmosphere. The drawings on the wall are fantastic and the orange and black theme is fabulous. Chefs and servers are very nice and they really pay attention to customers. Very good service. Most importantly, the food was excellent. They have so many different rolls to try and most of them, actually all of them were unique and tasty. I've been to many different places such as sushi motto, sushi pier, jazmines, sushi boat, etc, but by far, hiroba sushi is the best in reno. I definately recommend this place to anyone who likes to eat sushi.
