Southside Animal Hospital

Doc and staff have provided my fur babies with excellent care for years. They are thorough and capable of handling routine veterinary care, as well as complex medical issues that arised with one of our pups. Highly recommend this practice!

Nothings worse to me than having my Josie not feel well and especially having trouble urinating. I was scared, panic striken and didn't have two pennies to rub together. I prayed about it and also what Vet would give Josie the best k-9 medicine could offer. The next morning my dad came to me and said our neighbor (Friends) noticed Josies downhill battle and they wanted to help and take Josie to their Vet at Southside animal hospital!!! Less than 24 hours later she was scheduled for surgery to remove a stone in her bladder the size of those blue raquetballs. Xrays don't lie, I just couldn't believe the size of the stone and my babygirl has gone thru. There are no words to describe what this team of professionals did for broken heart and Josies broken bladder!! UNBELIEVABLE care, concern, educating me for the future, level of professionalism, spotless facility in and out, follow thru and updates on Josies status, down to earth friendliness, no forcefull strategy or language to cause me to feel worse than the situation. The Vet spent time with me to discuss options, post-surg care and basically I felt like I had a good friend sitting with me to get the plan in action to get our furry friend back on a path of excellent health....and that was 3 weeks ago and Josie was back to chasing lizards and frolicing in the bed blankets!!! Her strength was back after 2 days, she's been urinating like a little dog should. As for my broken heart??? It was put back together by the way Doctor and the techs handled a very weak, frail Josie (who looks exactly like the dog in the movie "Because of Winn-Dixie) if you havnt seen it, you don't know what your missin my friend!!! I will also be taking my macaw Sam to visit Doc so it's an awesome one stop shop for the needs and health of my little friends. I will go NO where else. My advice is to make the short drive over and pop in for a visit and you will see why I just had to tell my little story. Absolutly the best experience from begining till she was home resting in my arms. They saved her life and made two good friends while they worked their magic! Thank you again Southside for making me one happy greatfull mom!!!! You ROCK!!!!! xoxoxoxoxo
