The Goddard School of Peters Township (Venetia)

Our 2 children have attended Goddard since moved back to Pittsburgh in 2015. Our oldest child is now in 1st grade in the Peters Township public school, and she is very mature for her age as well as doing remarkably well with her academic work. Our son is now 2 and in the Early Preschool classroom and is following in her footsteps. The school is clean, the facility is top notch, the 4 year degreed teachers are terrific, and we really like the Directors and owners. What a terrific asset to have in our community.

For the last seven years our children have attended the Goddard School. The loving, learning atmosphere is top notch. When we were looking for a "day care" we were very discouraged with the staff, facilities and technology used at other centers. After seeing what the Goddard School had to offer we could only go there. The staff is amazing. The owners are hands-on and visible daily. The Directors are efficient and professional. The teachers are wonderful. The curriculum is challenging which produces outstanding academic results. The theory behind Goddard is learning through play. This is undoubtedly the case as my children have learned so much while enjoying their day to the fullest. The technology was advanced when we started seven years ago and continues to move forward. We love the small details of protective hinges to avoid anyone from getting a finger stuck to the extensive diaper change procedure to the plastic mat outside the infant room to remove dirt from shoes before entering. All of these "small" details are wonderful. The technology is unsurpassed. The children use SMART boards, the teacher's communicate activities and pictures throughout the day by email, and the advanced security is comforting. The Goddard School is more than a "day care" it is a school with loving, caring and educated professionals that provide an impeccable education and have fun while doing it!

I enrolled my children in this school for 1 month while I finished working my temporary job. I notified the owner before registering that my children would only be there for the 1 month and she agreed to it. My 3 year old was traumatized after the first day because his teacher was "mean and yelled at him all day" and refused to go back. when we went the first of the next month to pick up the other kids belongings the owners had them packed up in the office aware that we were not returning, however, they are trying to bill us for 4 extra weeks saying our notice had to be in writing. Something that should have been told to us when we told them we were only going to be there 1 month, right? I would never recommend this school to anyone.
