I have tried almost every teriyaki place in Vancouver, including bentos, and Rice and Spice is , by far, the best! I love all the dishes my family has tried there: orange chicken is awesome, yakisoba noodles aren't too mushy, sushi, gyoza (potstickers for the mainlanders) are cooked perfectly. The only think I would change about their style is how they cook the vegetables. They've never been quite cooked enough for me, but who really eats their veggies anyway? The restaurant is quaintly decorated, and the staff have always been very friendly. These guys are also the only healthy option in their neighborhood. The other options are Dairy Queen, Carls Jr., Taco Bell, some pizza place, and a chinese place that doesn't look very busy, nor very good (we can say so, we are a chinese and japanese family ourselves). I also love that you can call in your take-out order. Take it from me, you WANT to eat at Rice and Spice.
We had our 25th wedding anniversary party at Pizza Italiana. Mary and Pete and their staff made it most memorable...from their delicious custom menu of our favorite foods to their warm and genuinely friendly family atmosphere! AND their pizza can stand up to ANY New York Pizza anyday...including the gluten free! We are so glad we found you! Here's to many more successful years in Vancouver! Tony and Pam
My mom works at this Fred Meyers and I think that everyone that works there is awesome. Most of the people that I know work in the Meat Department because that is where my mom works... But like I said they are all very nice. Now, the store is NOT as big as most of the other Fred Meyer stores, in fact it is acctualy very small. Bottom line, small but filled with nice people :).
