        Garrett Sign Company was founded in 1946 by Stan and Nancy Garrett in Vancouver Washington. The business began with Stan designing and fabricating all the signs by himself, working long hours and taking personal pride in every project he produced. His wife Nancy, a public school teacher, left her teaching position to become the bookkeeper. Their son Paul joined the company after graduating college and worked with his parents to build the business. Eventually they were able to hire additional personnel, which allowed them to meet the growing demand for their services. Stan and Nancy retired in 1976 after developing Garrett sign into a well established company ; leaving the management to their son. Together with his wife Monica, Paul advanced the business until their retirement in 2004. Garrett sign was sold to Steve and Dana Taylor. Together with their sons, a third generation sign family now owns and operates Garrett Sign Company. Stan's dream of creating his own sign shop turned into an American success story demonstrating that hard work, honesty and integrity will pay off. Maintaining these standards have enabled Garrett sign company to grow into a state of the art, 15, 000 square foot, full service sign manufacturing facility. For over 60 years we Garrett Sign Company have been refining our design and fabrication standards and listening to the goals and needs of clients in order to continue perfecting our craft. We produce exceptional signs for all applications, ranging from sophisticated electronic message centers to simple neon window signs and everything in between. Our experience has allowed us to give our clients a competitive advantage by offering design concepts to convey their image with the best visual impact.         Unethical. Dishonest. Unresponsive. Plays Games. Bad Contracts. I have hired Garrett Sign for two signs over the last few years. One sign I paid in full and the other sign I put on a contract. I was young and new to this type of thing and they took advantage of me. The contracts they write are horrible for the client. An event happened that was out of my control which caused the signs to no longer be needed. For the sign I paid in full for, instead of just taking the sign down and giving it to me, they destroyed it for some reason. For the sign that I had on contract with them, they were willing to work with me to get a new sign and roll the old contract into a new one, however they are being completely unethical by trying to double charge me for maintenance and interest costs. The first contract is horribly written and the second one they are trying to force me into is even worse. Their typical response time has ranged from a few days to a couple of weeks. As per their own instructions, I put in writing to stop payments on the current contract until new terms are negotiated; however, they have continued to charge me every month despite telling me they wouldn’t. They have consistently not followed through on what they said they would do. Supposedly they are a small family run business, I have been having problems with them for about 8 months now and at the time of writing of this review I have never heard from the owner (who apparently is the only person who can make decisions) despite requesting to hear from him. I had previously left negative reviews about them, but they then contacted me to try to work out a deal; as per their request, in good faith I removed most of the negative reviews, but then they failed again to hold up their end of the bargain. I’m not sure how they can continue to run a business like they do.

        We needed a sign quickly for our ribbon cutting, not only did they do an amazing job they got it done in record time. All of their staff is friendly and Joe answered all of our questions. We are impressed and will refer them to all our friends! Cheri M.
