Recently, I bought a truck from Galpin Ford. I was helped by Phil Englander who was introduced to my family by Mr. Marshall at Galpin. Before my purchase, I owned a little car that I bought from Galpin. About me first, I have a wife and two sons-one being disabled. My disabled son moved in with us two years ago, a year after buying the little car. I was upside down in the car and due to surgeries for my son's legs, I had bad credit from missing payments and so on. I needed a truck for my family, not because I wanted it. Before we met with Phil, we went to two other dealerships. Why? I'm not sure now but the first said, "Sure, you can buy a truck, $20K down and $800 a month for 72 months" I can't do that. The second promised much much more. They said no down, low payments and at 60 months. I said I'm not coming in unless this is real because my family isn't sitting at a dealership all night. They promised. We spent 8 hours on a Sunday night at the dealership. We were accepted and then turned down. I later found out that they never ran my credit. I called and asked the salesmanager why and he said "I wanted to make some money off you and you were too smart to let me". My wife knew of Mr. Marshall. He happened to be where she was one day and she told him our issue and asked him what we should do. He said go to Phil Englander and you won't be disappointed. He was right. Phil was kind and patient, especially after the hours we just spent being turned down. We were in the showroom for 45 minutes and left with a truck. Phil was the best. He listened and didn't try to cheat us, didn't try to sell us the truck but tried to meet our needs. He wasn't a fraud and did everything he said he would do. I thought I'd walk out of the dealership with a stripped down truck, but instead, I bought a 2010 Ford F150 FX2 SuperCrew, paid $250 bucks less than I WANTED TO PAY, and was financed at an amazing rate. Here's the best part of this. My son is disabled. In the little car, we couldn't fit the wheelchair in the trunk and he had to lay down in the back seat to go anywhere with me. It was terrible. In the new truck, my son pulls up to the door, opens it, climbs up on his own and sits there in the seat with a sense of pride and accomplishment that only this simple task could bring him. Thank you Mr. Marshall, thank you Phil Englander and especially THANK YOU GALPIN FORD!!! An ending note, I do not work for or have worked for or want to work for Galpin in any way. I'm not being paid for my opinion but I will say that I've wanted a truck for 10 years, I needed a truck due to my son's issues and I have a truck because I believed and trusted in the fine folks at Galpin. THIS IS WHY they are America's number one Ford dealership!!
To begin, I am very particular. I know what I want, and if it can be ordered, I will wait for a product or vehicle to be made for my specifications and needs. To say the least, it can be daunting experience to buy a product from a dealer you never had prior experiences with. I was looking for a new work van. When the first generation Ford Transit Connect came onto the market, I thought it was a cool concept, but, the size and styling were not of my needs or taste. When the new (2nd generation) TC were introduced last year, it really appealed to me. I did extensive research online and decided this was the vehicle I was going to purchase. Keep in mind, if I could not get the options or accessories I wanted, it was not a giant priority to purchase one. Having my wants and needs in hand, I visited Galpin Ford and asked for Michael and Josh Moses who not only were highly recommended by various sources, but by the numerous outstanding online reviews. Being the first time in a Ford dealer, Michael and Josh immediately put me at ease by letting me dictate how the process was to take place. Armed with my specific requirements, we “built” the vehicle. It was a fast easy process that took roughly 30-45 minutes. Making the required deposit to get the process started, they informed me of the approximate time the TC would arrive at Galpin. Being mid-October, the van being made in Spain, it would be at least till the end of January when it arrives. The next morning, Michael called me and had the bad news the color I wanted was being discontinued for the 2015 model year. He was very apologetic and let me know of other colors that were available. During the months following, Michael was in contact letting me know the status of the vehicle. When the end of January arrived, he let me know the vehicle was built and in transit. The TC arrived the second week in February but I was traveling and could not complete the purchase. Michael and Josh were very understanding and never applied any pressure to “get me in”. Finally I was able to purchase the vehicle!!!!! With all the information needed, not only did the price work for all involved, but Michael was able to obtain a great interest rate from Ford Motor Credit! To really express how great an experience this was, would take too long to write and too long to read, so the above summarized my experience with the Moses’. Again, buying a vehicle can be a daunting, intimidating and unpleasant experience. But, Josh and Michael are out of the league in how they accommodate their clients when assisting in purchasing their cars, from meeting, ordering, the paperwork and finally driving off the lot with your vehicle! I cannot praise them enough!!!
I bought a 2016 Mazda CX-5 here earlier this week. I had done my research and gotten quotes from various dealerships nearby. A while ago, a friend of mine had recommended a family friend/salesman, Michael Moses and they put me in touch with him. Michael called me and when I explained that I had the quote, he said that he would match it. Given my experience at other dealerships, I was skeptical but my friend reassured me that he had dealt with Michael many times before and he was great. He made an appointment to see me that same night. Once we got to the dealership, Michael was really great, friendly, and warm. He asked what car I wanted and asked for the quote and right away said he'd be able to match it no problem-- just as he had promised to over the phone. I also had another certificate from going to the LA Auto Show and he honored it too. After running my credit, he walked with me over to the sales manager and told him that I came in with the quote and that he wanted to match it-- the manager agreed (None of these games that other dealerships and salesmen play where "OH, let me go to my manager and see what we can do... I'm on your side and I'm going to go put my punching gloves on so I can fight to get you the best price" --- ACTUAL quote from a prior buying experience at another dealership). It was very clear that Michael was a very respected salesman and that the manager respected and even deferred to his expertise. They found the car I wanted in another lot and started driving it over and even gave us free dinner at the Galpin Restaurant as we waited for the car to be transported. My wife and I kept on waiting for the "games" or the "catch" to start but there were none. After many high fives, fist bumps, and hugs, we walked out of the dealership in the EXACT car we wanted at the EXACT price we wanted. It was such a great experience. We've already gone and told our friends and family about it too so that they can go see Michael. He really made us feel like family.
Galpin Mazda in Panorama City made my car buying experience pleasant and memorable. Austin Lemasters was an amazing young man that provided professionalism and great customer service. He was very attentive to all my needs and demonstrated great knowledge and comprehensive information on my car. Austin took his time and worked out different deals and models to meet my need. I visited several Mazda dealerships with similar discount deals but I was SOLD ON AUSTIN before any vehicle. Austin exemplifies what a true salesman should be; honest, transparent, understanding and personable. He took his time and listened to all my criteria and we were able to work out an undeniably best deal possible. I left the dealership very happy and have since advertised this great establishment to my family and friends. As a matter of fact, I plan on revisiting this dealership next month to buy another car for my sister. Tim, the General Manager, was another contributing person to my great experience. I asked Tim to help me with an additional accessory to my car and he was prompt and diligent in his effort to accommodate me. Tim made several contacts to Galpin Auto Sport (GAS) in an effort to help me get the HID light install on my new Mazda 6. He dedicated time out of his busy schedule to help me. It’s such a great feeling to actually ask for help and get an immediate response from the manager. These kinds of dynamical customer service should be the model of all car dealerships. If you are looking for a great team of salesman and the best deal on Mazda, come to Galpin Mazda of Panorama City.
Their service dept is great! they are courteous, and will follow up on you after service. They seem to be honest about what kind of repair your car might need, and if you decline, they don't get pushy...they let you decide, unless it's kind of repair that needs immediate attention, like your drive axle is failing or something. Their waiting area is clean and comfortable, and the guys in the showroom don't mind if you check out some of their new inventory. While I was waiting, I probably sat in six of their new cars, to kill time. I even went for a walk around the neighborhood in the back, and it was a pleasant walk. The oil change takes about an hour with appointment, so it's not the fastest, but they use genuine Subaru oil filter, so that is a plus. I also had one of their recommended repair done, which was to replace the radiator hoses. The only reason they get a 4 star instead of 5 is because they failed to inform me that they had a 10% coupon for any repair that they recommend. I only was notified about the discount after the service when they sent an email about their recommended repair for my car. I would've appreciated if they let me know when I agreed to do the repair, since I'm a returning customer. And being a dealer, their prices are a little on the high side. But overall I recommend this place if you care enough about your Subie to take it to a good dealer for service.
We needed to buy a large commercial truck for our expanding event company and everyone we had talked to in the Industry recommended Galpin Ford. After my experiences with them, I can honestly say there is no reason to look anywhere else. Josh and Mike Moses were absolutely incredible to work with. They were informative, friendly, and went out of there way more than once to make sure we got the best truck for us. Mike felt more like a partner than a salesmen, always putting our needs first. They even bent over backwards to get us our truck early because our event schedule got pushed up. I'm sure most dealers would've gotten frustrated by our changing needs and constant questions, but Mike and Josh couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Not only is the customer service amazing, but their Vehicles are kept in pristine condition. After purchasing a vehicle, they do extensive service and detailing to make sure everything is in perfect condition, all at no added expense to the customer. That really impressed me. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the experience. We plan on getting another truck next year and I will definitely be calling Mike at Galpin Ford.
I just spent my Tuesday having lunch at this amazing restaurant (The Horseless Carriage) with my husband. The food was awesome and the people were so friendly. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you I was also leasing a car at the very same time. Who doesn't love having lunch and leasing a car in under 3 hrs!!! Well my husband and I do. We have been doing it at Galpin Motors for over 20 years. We just leased our 15th car from them this week and had the added bonus of dealing with Michael and Josh Moses. Michael has been our goto Salesman for the last 20 years and his son Josh is a very pleasant and knowledgable young man who has a bright future following in his dad's footsteps. Whether you are buying or leasing will find exceptional customer service along with a sales team that is honest, trustworthy and pressure free. So why go anywhere else. Galpin Motors and Michael/Josh Moses are a dream come true. We love and respect them so much that we actually live in walking distance to another Ford Dealer but choose to drive all the way to Galpin Motors because of our favorite sales team and their amazing Customer Service.
A year ago I was in the market for this cute mint green FIAT 500 and went testdriving it at Motor Village LA and met up with Michael Passage but I had a job offer in Toronto Canada so I had to postphone the purchase. A month ago I came back and couldn't wait to take delivery of my FIAT and was kinda disapointed Michael wasn't at Motor Village LA anymore and moved to The FIAT of Van Nuys Studio and that's where I went, no matter what the negative on line reviews say, Michael is the reason why I wanted this car only for the way he treated me last year, without trying to up sell me a Lounge or Gucci but just what I needed, an entry level with automatic transmission. The guys at FIAT of Van Nuys know what they're doing, Niko asked me if I liked Michael Jackson and as soon he found I did he played "Beat it", got introduced to Uncle Leo who offered me cookies baked by his wife and Donna in finance was great too, no pressure just trying to make me leave happy :-) Thank you Michael and your team !!!
Today was my first day driving my brand new FORD EXPLORER. We leased a FORD EDGE perviously, and had reached the end of our contract and needed to decide what to do. I was thrilled with my EDGE and the leasing experience with Michael Moses at Galpin Ford was a wonderful 2 years ago. We knew we wanted to work with Michael again, but we were unsure if we would be purchasing the EDGE, leasing again, or buying something new. I'm 8.5 months pregnant with our second baby boy so we considered looking into a car with a 3rd row of seats. We test drove (and LOVED) the EXPLORER. We decided to purchase the EXPLORER and we're thrilled with our choice. We had another fantastic experience with Michael and everyone at Galpin Ford. I cannot recommend working with Michael Moses enough - he's the best. Combined, my husband and I have purchased several cars over the years and nothing compares to working with Michael. He's professional, kind, patient, and knowledgeable.
This is my first experience with Galpin Ford and I am so beyond pleased with everything Bob Ware was able to do for me. I wish I could give 10 stars because he really earned it. I am 19 and was approved for a brand new 2015 Ford Focus! Never in a million years did I think that I would've been able to make my dream become a reality and I am so blessed that Bob was able to make this happen for me. I walked out of that dealership feeling like family and with a huge relief knowing I'd be driving a safe, affordable and amazing new car. He was so patient and really listened to my wants and needs and from there was able to show me the cars he recommended. I trusted him and let him guide me and I am so happy that I did. I am IN LOVE with my new car and I want to scream it from the rooftops. I know my mom will be back to get herself one as soon as she is able to and we wouldn't go anywhere else other than to see Bob Ware at Galpin Ford. Yay!!!
