I'm not a huge fan of tattoos because getting poked a million times with a needle isn't my idea of fun, but I love the art behind it. This place is AWESOME!!! Everyone was cool and made me relaxed about the process. I didn't even mind the pain and now have a rad shin piece! Stop thinking about it and just go! Also, from what I gathered, the shop is provegan!

I'm heavily tattooed and after doing some research, I found out about the brass quill gallery. I asked around, saw some healed work and every. Single. Person. I talked to said they were the best shop in town. I whole heartedly agree after visiting and getting worked on by Ben.
It's the only shop I would get work from in between Atlanta, Jacksonville, Tallahassee or Gainesville. They're on par. Each artist who's portfolio I saw was great.
Even their apprentices are better than established tattooers in the area.
Long story short, the brass quill is the ONLY shop I would go to in that area. I would personally trust any of their artists to leave a permanent mark on me, even the apprentices. It's an all around cool shop. Very clean, non sketchy atmosphere (which is amazing considering other shops in the area) and talent.

The Brass Quill Gallery is by FAR the most amazing, professional, fun, artistic Tattoo Shop in GA!! I have gotten 4 tattoos done by Bob (Owner), and he is just an astronomical tattooist! Very clean, crisp lines, and awesome detailing done all with very reasonable prices! I live in Athens and I will drive the 4 1/2 Hrs to get more tatts done by them! If you want great looking work done and an experience to remember, then this is the place to GO!

To anyone that looks for atmosphere, quality of work, pure artistry, cleanliness, pride in work, etc.. The Brass Quill will definitely impress you. It's a very laid back atmoshpere and is devoid of the typical tattoo shop elitism. Bob, Jacob and Ben are the best tattoo artists around so give them a call and expeience what all the talk is about!

The best tattoo shop in town, the only one i would recommend to anyone. They are clean and have a great atmosphere. They are full of great people. I personally like Ben Stubbs but there all great. Each one has a personality of there own.

A+++++++. Would highly recommend them to anyone who is wanting some ink. There also good with working with beginners who've never been tattooed. They have a great atmosphere there and a wonderful staff team. They use clean needles unlike other tattoo shops. There art work is very creative and they know how to work there colors. Dont settle no less than The Brass Quill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is a Bright, bold and interesting place to visit full of things to see and people to meet. The artists are amazing and Bob Layne has the lightest touch of any artist I have ever sat for. All the artists there are amazing and will treat you well. The Brass Quill Gallery is in a beautiful building and the staff there just adds to the ambience. If you want a one of a kind beautiful tattoo stop by the quill.

Absolutely amazing experience! Everyone is friendly and helpful, and the entire place is clean and well organized. The atmosphere is comfortable, which i feel like is a difficult achievement in a tattoo shop. Brass Quill is also very supportive of other local artists, which is pretty sweet. Moreover, all three artists are amazingly talented.

The Brass Quill is the only place I would go to get tattooed in Valdosta. Not only is it clean but the staff there is amazing! I've only ever gotten tattooed by Bob and I get compliments constantly on his work. If you are looking for a unique and personal tattoo experience I highly recommend going to this shop!

They are friendly, inviting, clean, and personable. Every piece that I have had done by Ben get compliments every day. I recently just added a new peircing to my collection and it was done by Will who did an excellent job. The talent of Jake and Bob are also excellent! This is the most amazing shop that I have steped foot into. They have soo much talent and originality which I value. They also support other local artist and musicians. You never know who you will run into at this place.

That the guys and girls of this shop are top notch artists and people whom I would recommend to anyone wanting a piercing or tattoo. Will is a great piercer and Bob, Jake, and Ben are some of the best if not the best artists in town. If you go anywhere else you will be disappointed with your experience. Did I mention the shop is very steam punk designed and they are a totally custom shop, no flash no duplicates for you to see on the street later. What more could you ask for?

The Brass Quill is beyond the best place to get a tattoo. You have the best guys there, with great personalities that make you feel comfortable. Talent and entertainment. Awesome art work on the walls that are for sale. Each artist has there own room so its completely private.
The location is amazing, a renovated old house is a nice creepy cool touch.

This place is freakin rad! not only are the three artists amazing!!!!! it's just a cool place to begin with! hardwood floors, antiques everywhere. its awesome. my tattoo was done by bob and its healed amazingly. so solid! go here. they give a damn.

The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is even better. The feel of the shop is very comfortable and clean. I got my tattoo done by Bob, and he spent the time to make sure i was happy with my tattoo. I would recommend this shop to anyone, and I will definitely be back!!
