The Left Bank

Eating at the Left Bank has been a tradition in our family for years. The restaurant has changed hands for the first time, but for the most part things are similar. Liz and Luc’s presence is obviously missed on a recent trip back, for the first time since the new owners. Definitely missed Liz, always in her long skirt and blouse with pearls, sitting the table and taking orders…. and Luc popping out of the kitchen with something delicious for us to sample. Everything on the menu is wonderful… favorites being the puff pastry tomato soup, Left Bank Filet rolled in peppercorns ..and the chocolate soufflé. Every visit is always unique and perfect. Make the Left Bank on your list of places to eat in Vail!!

Recently under new ownership after many years, Left Bank has become one of our favorite restaurants in Vail. The atmosphere is totally different now compared to years past. We visit several times a year and have found the food to be consistently delicious, especially enjoying the peppercorn filets, fish, and vegetables. The chefs homemade cookies served after the meal are truly a special treat. Left Bank is one of the few restaurants where we can go to actually hear each other speak and enjoy visiting with other friends. They have the best drinks in the village and their bar is our favorite with premium liquors and wines. A small-plate menu is offered in the bar and during off season, entrees in the restaurant are 50% off. We found the service to be friendly and attentive. They have received the AAA Four Diamond rating which has very strict requirements. We enjoy the restaurant decor finding it colorful and whimsical in bar and serene in the restaurant.
