If you are an artist looking to create something, a handiman looking to fix something, a tinkerer looking to invent something, or just a consumer looking to find a way to create, fix, or invent a way to save money on a project, ... this is the store for you! They have inexpensive tools for any job, bits and pieces of every material in premade shapes from nuts & bolts to plastic for cutting boards and containers and bins of every size and shape. They have scrap metal in rods, sheets, & shapes and a variety wheels for every imaginable use. I could go on and on but just imagine from their name, the surplus in engineered bits & pieces from a thousand industrial projects, melded with a dollar-store-hardware-store hybrid. This is all displayed in a manner of ordered chaos that you will be accustomed to in only one or two visits, all overseen by a friendly helpful proprietor who knows exactly what he has and where it is! He is always willing to help the customers out with a good deal as well. My partner and I often drop in there just to browse and see what's new! My brother is an artist and custom motorcycle designer from Australia, and his wife and daughter are artists as well. His favorite destination he can not miss on a visit to America, is a visit to P & T Surplus. My partner and I have been able to imagine at least a dozen, if not more, impossible solutions from this store's ever evolving inventory. I don't know what I would do if they ever closed, because they are as unique as they are wonderful. Five stars from me and my family!
