I have cravings for Amina's & have followed them from Kailua to town. Large portions, fair prices. I have always said what makes it or breaks an Italian place is their red sauce, winner! My favorite: Spinach ravioli over marinara spaghetti, the combination calzone, vegetarian pasta with "rosa sauce (mix of red/Alfredo)," & the pizza gooey with cheese. More of a take out place/just a few friends as it is small, so call ahead as everything is made to order by the owner. She's so nice.

Omg I love Italian food, & as you know it's the red sauce that makes it or breaks it, & they nailed good! Try the lasagna roll with mushroom marinara sause with melty cheese on top, yummo. No shortage of sauce. This place has a food of the month kinda thing (like cheesefest or garlicfest) so u never get tired of the menu. Service is always super friendly & they keep up 95% of the time, even when busy. They even have kids discounts or free or something one day. Fair prices & if u wanna get hammered they got a $9 jug for 1/2 off wine day that serves 10 glasses, lol, not high quality wine, but it gets the Job done.

Not your typical American Korean Joint, this is traditional Korean food done right. Dine in & they provide 7 or so side dishes, so it's best to come with a guest...they do everything from yakiniku style to individual plates. My favorite is the beef bulgogi in stone pot boiling hot! Dishes are medium range-semi pricey $10-$35. Recommend the meal for 2 (I forget the name), it's got yellow corvina fish, king kalbi ribs, soft shell crab, soft tofu soup, & a bunch that I can't remember, lol, yummy eats!

My husbands favorite! Yes it's pricey; but it's fine expect to go here when your pulling out all the stops. I would recommend the 7-course meal for $95/'s a great representation of the type of food they provide. The staff takes their time to explain all the food & wines. If u can afford it, I would throw down the extra $25 for wine pairing, omg so good! Alan Wong uses local farmers so u can feel good about supporting HI. Bold yet delicate flavors, wider palatte welcome, & free valet on S.king street :)

This is a great place for people who love to eat healthy Chinese...for once! Not greasy but flavorful! If u don't like veggies don't come & don't leave bad reviews...go to panda's. It's not a multi-entry type of place so your one dish meal is made to order. Fast service, fair prices...get the lunch menu...correct portioning plus mini salad. Only junk thing is once in a month they have these "barely of working age" kids come in & screw up the orders when I guess the moms call off work or something.
