118 E Park St, Perry, FL 32348
The Perry Theater changed hands in April 2012. The new owner and his wife did a huge amount of work on the place; upgraded the sound system, removed the smelly carpet, renovated the lobby and concession area, installed a ticket window, etc.
Before the 2012 change in ownership you had to bring cash as it was not set up with computers or credit card machines. That has all changed.
The new owner added to the concessions Pizza, Soft Pretzels (plain, w/cream cheese or mustard), pickles, and Icee's. They also cleaned out the big activity room to hold various dance and entertainment functions, now called the HUB. Both entities can be found on Facebook.
The place now looks and feels like a movie theater. Nice little place with 3 screens.
** This quaint theater is a little hard to find (behind a shopping plaza / Jin Jin's Restaurant). Tickets and concessions are still very reasonably priced.
