San Antonio Zoo

I have been to many zoos all over the world but I love coming home to ours. It might not have all the exotic animals that others do and it might not be as big as others are. However, there are plenty of animals to see and the newer area they built for kids is wonderful. The interaction in the kids area is a great learing experience for your kids!
Earl Abel's Restaurant

Earl Abel's is still the best fried chicken in town. If you go there, only order that and pie to go. The rest of the menu has gone from ok to horrible. The service has gone downhill as well. Actually, I would recommend you just order your chicken as take out and pick it up. At least you won't have to worry about the service in your own home! I used to go to the original place with my grandfather and get the fried chicken all the time. I remember a place that always had old people but good service and good food. Too bad that is not the case anymore.

I love Paesanos, all of them. However, this is my favorite just beacause of the atmosphere of the Riverwalk. The Shrimp Paesano is wonderful at all the locations, but to eat it here right on the river where you have great people watching opportunities is the best. It does get super crowded at Christmas time, but that is to be expected. If you like to people watch and you love good food, Paesanos is the place to be.

We had a rehersal dinner out on the back patio a month ago and the atmosphere was perfect. The river, people watching, and the good food. However, our favorite part were the margaritas. The regular and the peach ones are perfect.
