After a very unfortunate experience at my first stay in a Georgia Country Inn & Suites there were so many issues I e-mailed their corporate headquarters. I was only trying to let them know of the issues for if they do not know they cannot be fixed. Much to my surpise they sent me a certificate for a one night stay at one of their properties. I thought this was extreley generous and certainly not what I expected or why I contacted them. The places that I have traveled since that time there were no CI&S, so as a getaway for the fun of it we drove a whopping 30 minutes to try them once again. The front desk was extremely courteous and seemed very interested in insuring us to be comfortable and welcome. (So, far:wonderful) We upgraded to a King Suite with a jacuzzi, though after just getting comfortable we realized the air conditioning was not working ( it was 107 on this day) Chris from the front desk moved us within 20 minutes to another room. Ok, things happen, I understand. So, we went out to dinner & a movie after trying for more than 1 hour to gain internet access. I did call the front desk & he told me where to go which was exactly where I was, so after an insane amount of time, I gave up. So, much for the advertised in room free wi-fi ( which was only one of the many issues in GA) So, once we were back we wanting to use the jacuzzi which by the way the front desk told me it would cost an additional $20.00 I agreed to it. So, as I was preparing the tub, I notice about 16 oz. of standing water in the tub with spiders, though I poured mouth wash on them, I have leukemia so with such a compromised immune system, I could have never of taken a chance in utilizing the much needed relaxation of a jacuzzi. Major bummer. The personnel was very friendly & I reported this when I checked out only to be told they had recently taken over for it was a mess previously. YIKES!!!! The morning of our check out it revealed I was billed $25.00 for the jacuzzi, though he quoted $20.00 @ check in, I guess the spiders came @ N/C. We were bed that we could not use the jacuzzi in the privacy of our own room. I went to the front desk on Friday late evening, yet no one was there. I am curious how often these rooms are inspected. In addition, the fridge did not work either. Hey, I like this chain and I can't help but wonder if they are trying to iron some of the kinks out, not quite sure. I really want to specifically seek them out when I travel though it's very difficult when there are so many issues. I very much appreciate the certificate to give you another try, I would love your input. The difference in the 2 hotels was the personnel. They were all friendly in O'fallon, but that only goes so far when there are so many perks in the room, like air conditioning that wasn't working. Do you they spray for insects regularly? Do they check to see if their internet works. Also, our room card would not allow us access from the outside door. Why? I am not adding this to Facebook for it isn't my wish to say unfortunate things about this great chain which is why I am interested why this different hotel hundreds of miles away had so many of the same issues. Finally, I didn't think I should have been charged for the jacuzzi especially a higher price from which I was quoted. I wish your chain good lick in the future.Thank you, Patty Morris-Hildebrand
