So the first thing you should know is that this spa is tucked away in the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel on the top floor. There's a special entrance elevator from the 15th floor to get to it. Easy to miss, worth finding it though.

Everything from the design, the view, the ambient music, made us feel like we were transported to some exotic resort location somewhere. There was a great balance of cool architecture mixed with a warm inviting atmosphere. Everyone was really nice and attentive to us. There was a relaxation area to wait for your services that had a magnificent fire place and was very comfortable. I wanted to just hang out there all day.

Overall experience was wonderful. The only thing I would criticize would be that it was a bit pricey, not by much, just a bit. I guess that's because of the exclusive feel to the place and that it is geared more towards travelers who tend to spend more anyway. Wasn't enough to keep me away from future visits. You get what you pay for and it was wonderful

Also, the soaking tub experience was amazing. Looking out over Anchorage from an infinity style soaking tub was very relaxing. Well worth checking out ICE SPA.

First Care is a great place to go at 10pm when you don't feel well or have a minor injury. The wait isn't too bad, usually get in to see someone within 10-15 minutes and they keep their prices affordable. I HATE THE EMERGENCY ROOM and First Care is a great alternative.

Instead of getting a new tub, we just had ours refinished and saved almost 2 grand! The tub and shower look brand new and it was done in a couple hours! Greg was really friendly and super knowledgeable.

    Thanks Tub Tech!

D'zine Alaska is the best resource for small and large businesses who want a really striking and professional look without spending a ton of money. They work many big names locally as well as smaller successful businesses. You have to check out their website by clicking the link to see their portfolio of work. it speaks for itself.

I could go on for pages on how horrible this experience was. I will give you the nutshell version...

Went to buy a car, dealer manager promised huge rebates and savings that he apparently was not qualified to promise, we signed on a deal, he was fired, we were called back in to do another deal which we thought had to happen and later found out was illegal on their part because the first deal was legally binding until we signed a new, more expensive deal.

Dealership found out that the interest rate and terms they promised in the second deal did not get approved as they'd expected and asked us to come in and sign a newer even more expensive third deal and threatened the job of someone close to us whom was not involved in the deal at all if we did not sign right away. For fear of their loss of job we signed the 3rd deal, cementing once again our victimization and treachery by this evil dealership.

Basically, Lithia's dealerships, especially Chevy of South Anchorage, are corrupt, behave illegally and amorally and by stepping foot onto their lots you risk losing your money, your sanity and your dignity.

I would most definitely not recommend shopping Lithia unless being taken advantage of, harassed and threatened is pleasurable to you. I would have rated them zero or negative stars if it were possible.

The people at Kendall couldn't tell the difference between a good vehicle and a piece of stale bread. They are anything but knowledgable, have no respect for customers and make you feel like if you don't buy a car right now, you will personally be jeopardizing their livelihood.

I would not recommend a Kendall dealership to anyone.

Both the sales team and the service team really know their stuff. Obviously Mercedes-Benz makes the best vehicles, but it's great to see that our local dealership has such a superstar team of experts. You guys rock!

I'm blowing the whistle on this secret. Platinum Jaxx has awesome lunch specials and half price appetizers. Their food is a pleasant surprise as most people only know of platinum Jaxx as a nightclub. You really have to visit for lunch or in the afternoon and try some of their chef's creations.

Great for casual lunch or apps and perfect for a nice dinner!
