    Expensive, No Flavor

Fresco Cafe looks like a nice little hole-in-the-wall cafe. This inside is nicely decorated with all things Italian, and is clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Homemade Ravioli, which was stuffed with ricotta, parmesean, parsley, and ham. Here is where they started to go downhill. The dish cost $10.50 and I only got SIX ravioli pieces (oh, and a piece of focaccia bread). The sauce was watery and needed more seasonings like basil, oregano, etc. The ham in the ravioli was somewhat fatty, and again, it needed more garlic and seasonings. Almost all of the dishes were at least $8 (for sandwhiches) and up. I will not go back because it is too expensive, they don't give enough food, and the flavor was lacking (almost non-existent actually).

    Moist Salmon

Twisted Cork Cafe has a really nice casual atmosphere inside and is very clean. It is really nice at nighttime when they turn the outdoor lights on. A group of thirteen people went, and I first ordered the Chocolate Martini. It took a little long to get, but it tasted really good and came in the fancy martini glass. For dinner I ordered the salmon with veggies and a baked potato for $18. The salmon was very moist and was fresh tasting. They give you a large piece of salmon as well. The veggies were a little greasy. The baked potato was a little dry so I asked for a cup of salsa to put on it. The salsa came right away and made it taste much better. Servie was good and the restrooms were clean. Overall I thought it was good for entertaining purposes, but would probably not go back on my own next time I am in Salida.

    awesome breakfast!

The Moab Diner is very clean inside, and has a 1950's theme. I ordered the breakfast burrito with ham, green chili, and made with Egg Beaters. It was came with hasbrowns and toast. The burrito was huge and the flavors were sooo good. I loved how the green chili was poured on top of it. You definitely get alot of food for the price you pay. Service was great and the food came quickly. This was my favorite restaurant to get breakfast in Moab, UT. I will definitely come back to the Moab Diner next time I am in Moab!

    great omelets!

The Jailhouse Cafe is a cute little building on the corner of Main in Moab, UT. The inside is very quaint and clean, and there is also outdoor seating. I ordered an omelet that came with red peppers, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella, basil pesto, and made with Egg Beaters. I have never had an omelet with basil pesto before, but it was amazing! The flavors worked really well together. The size of the omelet was huge too, and came with fried potatoes and toast. I tried my friend's pancakes and they were very fluffy, hot, and had a great flavor. The only drawback was that the price was a little high (about $11). The dining area was clean, and service was great. I would go back to the Jailhouse Cafe next time I am in Moab, UT.

    Awesome Pasta!

The first day we got to Moab, we walked around town and happened to pass Pasta Jays. It smelled so good walking by that we decided to eat there the next day for dinner. The atmosphere was very romantic, yet casual and we decided to sit outside on the patio. I ordered the veggie canelloni that also came with garlic bread. The dish was piping hot when it arrived. The garlic bread was also very fresh and had a great flavor. The canelloni was appealing with the cheeses bubbling and the tomato sauce chunky. The taste was wonderful and fresh. It was the best pasta I have had in weeks. I also tested my friends' spinach and artichoke raviolli. That too was very hot, and tasted awesome. The dining area was clean, and service was great. The only downside to Pasta Jay's is there limited drink menu. However, next time I am in Moab, UT I will definitely go back to Pasta Jay's. It was my favorite restaurant of the whole trip.

    Good!

Slickrock Cafe has a nice atmosphere and a good menu selection. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and veggies. For the meatloaf you get three large slices. The gravy on top was kind of salty, but the meat had a nice flavor and was the perfect temperature. The mashed potatoes were awesome- very creamy, smooth, and appealing with chopped chives sprinkled on top. The veggies were fresh and colorful. We then ordered the baked chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, and split it between three people. It was excellent. Service was great and the dining area was clean. I would go back to Slickrock Cafe when I am in Moab again.

    Not worth it

A family friend took us to Dolan's for a special night out. We were seated in a room all to ourselves (there were 13 people). The menu consisted of a three course meal, where you could choose a dish from each course. I ordered a spinach salad, crab cakes with couscous and veggies, and strawberry sorbet for dessert. I thought the salad was average. The crab cakes had a little spicyness to them, but the temperature was just warm. The couscous was somewhat greasy and very salty. For the veggies all I received were four slivers of squash that were also very greasy and salty. The strawberry sorbet was excellent; it was creamy and came with a shortbread cookie. Service was excellent, and the restrooms were clean. Swing music was played in the background. I don't know how much the meal cost, but I would guess that it was way too expensive for the amount of food I received. Each course of the meal took about an hour, which is way too long when you are hungry. I would not go back to Dolan's.

    Good Pizza

The inside is very sports-like and has a typical bar theme. We ordered the Margarita pizza for about $10. It had a very fresh taste and was hot from the oven. Our server was nice enough, but I had to ask everytime for my drink to be refilled. The restrooms were clean as well as the dining area. I probably won't be going back, but that is only because I was traveling at the time.
