Saw the commercials on the FX channel for Complete Renovations. Joe has a down home folksy approach, so we decided to call him on 4-30-14 Joe promptly returned my call at 9 am on 5-1-2014! His travels put him near where I needed an estimate, so he stopped by on 5-1-2014 at noon. Ive had 6 places come buy or offer quotes already, BUT Joe seriously projected confidence & an extreme confidence in a total kitchen transformation. He gave me some price parameters, ballpark for now, and said when your done kicking tires, give me a shout..or better yet, You & Your wife stop by & see my Haas Product Line. Well the bride got out of work early yesterday at 5pm and we saw Joe for the full show at 5:25 He was obviously so confident in his work & presentation, that he had already drawn our kitchen to scale, with several quality upgrades & enhancements. Plus he had a vision of how this kitchen could be better situated to serve us better, long term. Including :

1 creating a better foot traffic flow

    2 moving the fridge

    3 moving the dishwasher

    4 eliminating a non-functional island & replacing it with a 4 foot peninsula

5 adding a trash can & recycle bin in a drawer 6 adding an integrated 18 gauge sink

7 high def laminate 240 spec.

Joe was impressive with his confidence & presentation, even impressed the bride!

Interesting evolution on how we arrived here.

Tried the Chammps on Hall Road a couple of years ago, but walked in just as the kitchen took an order for a 110 people funeral wake, so we took a rain check.

Fast Forward to last Friday , pulled into Hall Road location CLOSED PERMANENTLY .

Well after joining there MVP rewards & wanting a free burger, here we are in Troy

Walked in at 5:45 on 2-28-14 & the place was actually jumping, one of the 3 hostesses sat us promptly.

Our server Selena, arrived & I'm sure you all know when a server is going to be fantastic, well her vibe matched the service , great gal

[ she has served here for 15 years ]

We showed our rewards coupon out of the chute & told her we were splitting it to save room for the Mile High Ice Cream Pie

    And she totally understood that

We asked what is the go to burger here?

    She HIGHLY recommended the

    Chipotle BBQ Burger

pulled pork. cheddar. apple wood-smoked bacon. house-made chipotle mayo.lettuce. tomato.

When the helper brought it out , Selena had the kitchen split the burger & fries in the back , into 2 plates & 2 fry baskets!

**If I were to deduct any points at all on this visit, it was the waffle fries cooled off or were cold way to quickly in that open mesh basket

Holly S from YELP was right the mile-high ice cream dessert was flamboyant + she enlightened me about the MVP program.

I'll enclose a picture of this dessert

Our dinner & dessert was $11.65

Plus the receipt offered a survey for a free dessert on the next visit.

Once again we found ourselves ordering from here on a Sunday Night. 3-30-14

Will C was the phone guy & he had the cooks produce a great pizza.

I asked once again for sauce on the bottom & top

[ not every place gets this vision ]

And ordered a small with Ham -Mushrooms-Bacon double sauce & butter cheese/sesame seed crust.

When I got it home & opened it, it was a LARGE!!

So I called Will immediately , thinking I had grabbed someone else pie .

No Mr C. we ran out of small dough & upgraded you to a Large for No Charge.

    Quite the pizza ambassador.

The Pizza was wonderful, and the double sauce was perfect as requested.

And with the large we had leftovers for days & shared some with a neighbor.

I can only say MAMA MIA!!

Not sure if I had previously mentioned it, but they have a rewards/punch card system.

Plus a save your receipt for a $1 off a future order over $10

As I checked in today I could not believe that I had never ever reviewed this place.

I met my salesman Mr. Mike Omelianoff in 2006, as we were guiding one of our children into her 1st brand new Cobalt.

Mike even suggested that she go through a local bank to establish credit at a young age, fast forward several years down the road & that tool/technique truly helped her in her mid 20's & beyond.

Also 2 more children went her & bought....Cobalts & we have bought 2 Impalas from Mike.

He is a very energetic & engaging salesman, very low pressure & he knows each & every incentive out there, plus Buff Whelan Chevrolet put "Free " sunroofs in 3 of those cars.

One other noteworthy fact about Mr.Mike Omelianoff , beyond just your basic delivery & installing the plate, Mike put all of our new drivers behind the wheel as he slid into the passenger seat & went over every control, knob & option !

Explained the warranty & service department standards, which we never had to use once on any of those 5 Chevrolet Products.

In closing they are also a good community neighbor, hosting blood drives 2 times a year.

I had no idea that I would be writing a Funeral Home review this week.

As one of my lifelong buddies since 1964, his daddy passed away & the viewing was here tonight.

When Lee-Elena Funeral Home , opened around 2008 , I read all of the articles in the Macomb Daily of how it was built with the guests/clients/families in mind.

I also saw countless advertisements as well ,proclaiming the same.

    Well I was very impressed!!

I mean this as a very sincere compliment,it reminded me of the Capital Grill.

Inviting foyer, generous hallways, multiple gathering rooms with overstuffed chairs & couches. The cafe/gathering space where you can set up food/desserts/snacks/ beverages.

The Fireplace & the viewing rooms all seemed like an Uncles Lodge Up North.

Plus 2-3 outdoor patios, children's rooms 2 chapels & state-of-the-art wireless, audio and video technology

Heather was the greeter on staff & provided excellent service/skills that reflected a concierge.

I came home tonight, and told the bride, I think I found my final resting place.

Love that the owners set out with a vision, captured & exceeded it!

Cornerstone Baptist church , got its birth over 25 years ago as 2 smaller congregations, that were shrinking, put Pride on the back burner and merged to be One Healthy Church of 150-188 souls.

Originally located near 10 + Kelly Road in Roseville , they moved to this 18 acre parcel in 1995-96.

Along the way they hired a young new pastor, Robert Johnson II, he was 29.

He did not have an arsenal of worldly stories or experiences, so he preached the WORD.

And via Gods faithfulness the church grew in knowledge ,wisdom, grace & people.

I was originally invited here in 1996 by some sweet people, who knew I was empty & needed Christ.

I finally came in 1997 for a "VISIT" and to get them to leave me alone.

But. .. however...GOD had other plans.

Being raised in the RC traditions/heritage, I heard things, felt things that caught my hearts attention.

Fast forward march 26th 1997, I had my moment, my epiphany & met the Lord.

Double fast forward, Having spent the last 16 years of my "New Birth " their, I can give it a hearty /resounding 5 star thumbs up!

    Its biblical & doctrinally sound

The pastor & pastors hold up & esteem the word of GOD

    Expositional /Exogetical Preaching

    Solid growing /passionate youth group

    Wonderful children's ministry

    Choir-Orchestra-Electives-Recovery Ministries

In closing that seed /vision of 150-188 people now is at 800 members & 1,074 attendees.

If your looking , there you are, By His Grace.

    5 stars Posted on 04/19/2014 05:00pm

As we all know, there are multiple chiropractor offices & doctors up & down

    Hall Road

    Rochester Road

    And every mile road.

I was introduced to Dr Ron Fried, via yelp & then 2-3 days later a sensational groupon offer for

    2 adjustments

    60 minute massage

[ Dr Fried also offers a similair special on his web page for $59 ]

I figured that was a more than generous offer to come see what his practice & his adjustments were all about.

Booked me 1st visit, mentioned the groupon and Sarah scheduled a time.

Met Dr Fried, took some film & gave a sweet power point function & mobility presentation, and pulled out the spine model & modules.

His knowledge & education was impressive..and I sensed it was also his passion to fix-free-empower people.

Before that 1st adjustment, he had me lie face down & put several warm weighted heat sources on my back, spine & neck, to loosen , soothe & that they did.

Then 12-15 minutes later, he came in & performed some adjustments/manipulations .

He got movement on my C-1 C-2, which I have never ever had before, as several chiropractors have tried..but usually settle for movement in the C-3 & stop

Note: since this 1st adjustment 3 weeks ago,Ive had No Migraines at all.

Went back 8-9 days later for another adjustment as being a Bus Driver & our glorious roads , my back body take a beating.

Same drill, heat, relax & adjust. He was able to get alot of movement 95%- 98%, but his wisdom told him by body was fighting - protecting itself

    [ which it was]

He then offered me a rare treat in this business. He said "after you get home and your still locked today or tomorrow, come back & I'll readjust on me"

Impressive...and I did not take him up on it this time, but put it in the good to know file.

As soon as I can get a BCN referral I'll be back.

    5 stars Posted on 04/19/2014 05:00pm

I'm not sure how , but each visit ramps up & increases me expectations & enthusiasm !

We love 112 Pizzeria Bistro, for our thin crust fix/hankering.

Usually we order the Bugsy Siegel, but you know how you can get in a rut from time to time, and order the same thins/favorite over & over?

Well we decided each visit now, will include the MAGNIFICENT house sald for $5 & the House Dressing , but we were going to try most every pizza pie.

[ except the Corrington with truffle oil..I just do not know ]

So 3-2-14 we tried the Noir which is new to the menu:

Double red sauce , pepperoni ,tomatoes, crimini mushrooms & feta cheese .

    It was fabulous!

Jimmy the owner stopped by our table & we chatted pies, he wondered how we liked the new NOIR pizza

Also we chatted about Supinos, Fresca & Tomato's Apizza all in a positive light.

And how customers are/were clamoring for delivery, but this pizza needs to be eaten on site or within 5 minutes of pickup, to retain its ooey gooey goodness.

Nice to meet a owner who is positive & cares about his actual product & its long term integrity.

Cannot wait to go back...hoping to try a pasta dish eventually!

My appointments & errands, keep me near this destination and am I glad!

Walked in for a carryout & Yassine remembered me from a previous visit & even said Good Morning RON!

    [ nice touch ]

I ordered a bowl of crushed lentil soup & a small tabbouleh $8

He assembled it rather quickly and brought it out to me and wished me a good day.

When I got home I opened up this masterpiece lunch

The Bowl of crushed lentil soup was piping hot & nice & thick!

The tabbouleh was nice & wet, but not soggy & included to large lemon hunks

Unbeknownst to me, he tossed in 5-6 hot mini pita's

Garlic Dip [ which will rock your world, grab a mint or two as you leave ]

    And their salsa for dipping

    Once again blown away!

    5 stars Posted on 04/19/2014 05:00pm

One of the massage therapists I have visited uses an amazing Shea butter on me & I asked where she bought it. Tah Dah! Moon River

Located on the corner of Fourth-East it is quite a cool building.

Walked in & both owners greeted us, asked what we were looking for & gave us a tour & a breakdown of the products , plus samples.

It is obviously more than a job-career-vocation for LIZ, it is her passion, she can not help sharing with joy about her products.

I bought a small tin of Raw Shea Butter $12

And a bar of Olive Oil Soap for dry winter skin. $ 5.50

Plus a gift of Wonderful Man Soap for a friend. $5.50

They have multiple options in scented & unscented soaps, lotions, butters.

The Shea Butter is quite long lasting & absorbs Very Well!

The Olive Oil Soap, produces so much more lather than I thought it would, so I'm pleasantly surprised!
