I should have believed the recent reviews as they chronologically got worse. Adorable place, our server was polite but this does not a good restaurant make. The grouper po'boy should have been garbage before being taken to a customer. The waitress took it back and apologized, saying, "well you know, grouper and snapper are always iffy" WHAAAAT?! Where?! G-R-O-S-S, if that's what they think of their food. (she removed it from my bill)

There have been several disappointments since returning to the Orange Beach area after a year. Many favorites have closed and others gone down hill. We tried Big Fish today for the first time and it will now be a favorite. Happy Hour is from 11a to 6p!!!! $4 Margueritas! $2 domestic beers. The wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable. We had Firecracker Shrimp, spicy but not hot spice. Shrimp and Grits were very well seasoned and they were generous with the shrimp. Whitefish po'boy was crispy and again, it couldn't have been a bigger helping. Prices are very reasonable and atmosphere is elegant.

Went here to try their "famous crab cakes" and firecracker shrimp. We ordered these items, their "Fish Taco" and Crawfish Po'boy with "grits." 1) DEVEIN THE SHRIMP!!! come ON! Though you get a lot, the sauce is NOT spiced enough for the name and cloyingly creamy. 2) We sent the crabcakes back....awful crab, worse sauce (no way was there any remoulade included). 3) The fish taco is a Mahi WRAP, overwhelmed by a GIGANTIC flour tortilla which is too bad since the fish was good and well-cooked. Should make it as the name says, "taco" with a small tortilla. 4) understood Cosmo's "version" of grits is made with polenta.....but either way, lousy polenta, worse "grits." On a good note, the staff was attentive and courteous, the manager(?) was sorry about the dissatisfaction and very, VERY apologetic. Crab cakes were not on the bill and a nice piece of keylime cheesecake was given as a good gesture. This however, won't bring us back.

Very good food. The fish fry is great except, though I'm told the cole slaw has "dressing we make ourselves" it tastes like something from the grocery store, unless the staff uses it when the owner isn't around. We have had several other items and have consistently been pleased. They have regular drink/beer specials and all items are good values. Staff is pleasant though minimal. We have made this a "go to" spot when undecided.

Sadly, McMae's didn't live up to our hopeful expectations. VERY sadly as Bartlett could use a nice eatery aside from the gozillion pizza joints. The appearance is lovely, cozy and the server was friendly and attentive. We SPECIFICALLY went for the "Friday Fish Fry." We ordered fried pickles which were very good, well prepared and served with 2 dips so this, again, made us hopeful. When we received the cod, we could tell immediately by the TRIANGULAR cut that it was "prepped" outside of the restaurant. We could also tell that it had been frozen as there was the usual MUSH between the breading and the fish (which was also mushy).

If you can't serve GREAT fish, don't serve fish at all.

We will not even go back to try anything else.

It is a toilette and you should be VERY afraid to allow your loved ones to be alone here. My mother was brought into Hinsdale Hospital Emergency and once in Intensive Care the staff was appalled at the condition when inserting a foley "the pus poured out" and her urine indicated she was also dehydrated. I am VERY bitter and feel the only fair punishment is to have every member responsible temporarily incapacitated while they endure what my mother did. They should be ashamed and the administration should remove their blinders.

my hopes were high but this promising place fell flat. Nothing was bad, well the tuna was low grade, but with the way the menu READ, the variety posted, I thought it looked really good but the quality was lacking. If I'm paying a want a GREAT bread, like the old 4th street deli in Geneva and top-of-the-line ingredients. Also, a cookie, is not "dessert." The coleslaw should be eliminated and if its an indication of their potato salad, skip it. It is not made fresh. One last thing, the counter with all the cruddy prep machines on exhibit is very offputting. The floor behind the counter is cruddy and all of the decorations look dusty and they need to pwerwash the blackened gum spots away from their entrance....yuck ahve some pride.

This dry cleaners does not stand by their work. After ruining my daughter's brand new $200 wool blend pea coat he denied there was even anything wrong with his work. You could plainly see that he had scrubbed part of the coat with something abrasive and turned the wool blend furry. Furthermore there was still residue from whatever solvent/cleaning fluid was used.

Denial doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I am currently looking into reporting him to a dry cleaning association (if he is even a member), village of Bartlett, Better Business Bureau and Small Claims ct.

No wonder I never see a car in front of his store.

This place is very cold compared to the one in West Dundee. The burgers are just some gray/brown stuff with fancy toppings on a nice bun and great fries on the side. Don't be fooled into thinking its good meat just because they say "Black Angus" as that does not assure you of a good burger. If you want a good burger the village tavern in carol stream is pretty good otherwise you have to go to hackneys or rj grunts downtown.
