    Her prices can't be beat.

Her prices can't be beat. I love Deb to pieces. My one and only complaint about her is that the quality of her cuts isnt' quite as good as they once were. If your dog doesn't need a trim, I'd highly encourage you to go to her. She LOVES the dogs she grooms, and takes such good care of them. Her place is one of the few that is truly peaceful! (So many times, there's dogs barking and spazzing out while at the groomers. She manages to keep them all calm and happy.) Truly, my one and only complaint with her is that the quality of her trims have declined in quality. Every other aspect is truly perfect.

I liked this place the first time I took…

I liked this place the first time I took my dog here. She does a nice, neat job of grooming. But, then the 2nd time, she seemed to question what I wanted done. ("So you want the fur on his paws long so he can track more mud into the house?") Then, the last time I took my dog in, he had matts, which I understood, and even told her about. I said I wanted him shaved down, but leave the fur around his face long. I even had pictures of him with the exact haircut I wanted that I brought in for her to keep as a reference. She gave me some attitude and said if he didn't have too many matts, she might be able to do that. I ran my fingers through the fur I did not want cut, and said there were no matts there (I knew there were no matts there before I came in, by the way), so please leave that long. Of course, when I picked him up, he was shaved down EVERYWHERE! I asked why, and she said, with an irritated tone, that he just had too many matts to allow ANY of it to stay long. As I stated, I ran my fingers through the parts I wanted long (many times), and I am 100% certain, he did NOT have matts in that area. So, I wasn't sure if that was just laziness on her part, or if she wanted to give me some sort of little "punishment" for allowing my dog to get matts. Either way, I'm highly doubting I'll go back to her.

My friendly, 20 lb dog gets groomed 6-8…

My friendly, 20 lb dog gets groomed 6-8 times a year. He is 8 years old. What that translates to is he's been groomed in the neighborhood of 50 times in his life thus far. Probably, at least half of the folks who've ever groomed him all have said what a sweet, friendly dog he is. Every time, when I pick him up from any groomer, upon seeing me, he starts jumping and wags his tail with all his might. Some places he seems more eager than other places to get the heck out of there.

We had a groomer in the past who's quality was deteriating, so I have been trying other groomers again lately. I tried K-9 for the first time last month. I was quoted $35-40. When I picked him up, I was told it would be $40 - I don't really understand why, there were no matts, or any special needs he had that would make the job more difficult. When he came out, he was walking slowly, didn't wag his tail, and did not jump at all. He needed a little help getting into the car (never has ever before in his entire life.) He laid down, with his head on the seat the whole way home. This was actually a little alarming because this is something I've never ever seen him do. When he got home, he was not quite himself for about a half an hour: moving slowly, tripped twice, wouldn't fetch, etc.

I did call to see if they gave him any sort sedation. They said they did not and that no ethical groomer would ever do that.

So, to be honest, I don't know if his sluggish behavior was due to him being severely traumatized there, or if they did, indeed, sedate him. Either way, you couldn't pay me to take my dog back there. I would encourage you not to take YOUR dog there either.

    not one single complaint!

I priced carpet at MANY different places. No one beats their prices or selection! The owner, Mickey, is an absolute delight to work with. The installers were incredibly courteous, and did their job superbly. They even moved all the heavy furniture out of the room for me, and when they put it back, they made sure I was satisfied with the placement. I can not say enough good things about this place. If you're looking for new flooring, you really need to, at the very least, check them out. They're a quality operation!
