Abe's did not install my rear tires correctly. They are directional tires. I went to the dealership for maintenance and was told to take my car back to the shop that installed the tires. The VW dealership did not rotate my tires as they normally do with routine service because the rear tires were mounted incorrectly. I took the car back to Abe;s and asked that they rotate the tires as well as correct their mistake. After the work was completed I was charged $26 for the rotation. The charge was never mentioned and I would not have had to spend an additional hour in a repair shop on top of the two hours that I spent at the dealership if they had installed them properly the first time. The mechanic at Abes then told me that the marking on the tire about how to install them made no difference and that is why the mechanic that installed them the first time did not pay attention to the directions on the tires. The dealership made the opposite claim that the tires will wear down unevenly. The mechanic at Abes told me that I could have taken my car back to the dealership for the rotation after they corrected their mistake. I told him that I spent two hours at the dealership and the work would have been completed except for the fact that the rear tires were mounted wrong, I paid the $26, which was never mentioned until it was time for me to leave. I told him why I should not have to pay and he was not willing to admit that his shop made a mistake and that they caused me to waste an hour and gas. I will not go back to his shop. I decided to write many complaints about this shop and hopefully cause them to lose business. Customer service and quality of service is lacking at this establishment.
