WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
The only reason I was on a recent trip with this airline was because of FF Miles. My husband and I traveled internationally. In the US we were denied access to First Class Lounges-but not with the partner airlines. Our flight was diverted because the aircraft did not have enough fuel for our final destination (this did not even bother me) but our bags were lost. We are seasoned travelers and were on a three week trip. In a effort to free up some carry on space, our keys were accidently packed with checked luggage. We did not see our car for three weeks, the keys were packed away. We stupidly forgot to remove them when we left for our 2 day trip back home which was 30 hours of flying in 4 airplanes. Upon reaching our final destination, our luggage was lost. We had to spend $100.00 for a taxi ride home at 2:00 a.m. The Customer Service agent in Lost Baggage told us "AA would not pay for our transportation home since we were not suppose to put personal items in checked bags." I thought all items in checked bags was personal. Once we arrived home, I wrote two letters to American Airlines Centarl Baggage Services Mangager and was denied a reimbursement two times. This just adds fuel to the fire. WE DO HAVE A CHOICE WHEN WE TRAVEL-AND IT WILL NO LONGER BE AMERICAN.
