I've stayed at many hotels rated at 3, 4, and 5 stars. I must say this is better than any other 3 or 4 star property and better than some of the 5 stars I've been to. Located ust a couple of blocks from Fisherman's Wharf and within walking distance of all municipal transportation, the Tuscan Inn at Fisherman's Wharf will pamper you in every way, without digging too deep into your wallet.

This was our first trip flying into San Francisco, and not being familiar with SFO or the transit system, it took a bit of Q & A to get to our hotel without any major problems. The concierges are very efficient at what they do. We particularly liked Hugo who gave new meaning to the word 'service.' The room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet. Those wishing to sleep in late in the morning will have no problem doing so since the room completely darkens. We stayed for five nights in February and loved every minute of it.

Casuelas Cafe is part of the Las Casuelas family-owned chain. Of the four or more restaurants, all located in the Palm Springs area, this is our favorite. It offers both indoor and shaded patio seating complete with a misting system for really hot days. In addition to the bar, the restaurant seats approximately forty inside and an additional 20 or so outside.

The atmosphere is quaint, old-style Mexico with several bright colors splashed throughout. The prices range from about $7.00 to $18.00 for dinner. I can honestly say that in having visited this restaurant more than forty times in the last few years, we have never received bad service or a dish which we didn't order. The food is so delicious. Order anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed. Of all of the mexican restaurants from Indio to Palm Springs, this is absolutely our favorite. Whenever we visit this area, you'll find us having at least one meal at Casuelas Cafe.
