came here w/ a friend after work and was thinking trying out the R/week menu. the experience started off rocky but got progressively better. first when my friend and i got to remi, the maitre d ignored us for a good 2 min trying to organize her menu stack and did not even greet us or anything. after she finally got her area organized then turned to us. i told her we made a resv. and we were seated. she did NOT give us the r/week menu but ONLY the regular one. Only after i inquired about it from the waiter did he bring us the R/w menus (not his fault, it's the maitre d's). the waiter was pretty attentive thru out the dining experience but i did ha ve to ask for water a few times... the food was excellent (had the beet salad and salmon - cooked perfectly). the dessert was nothing to rave about but nothing terrible either. all in all my friend and i had a good time...

i live in the neighborhood and love coming here for a casual weekday dinner when the weather is nice out (i enjoy sitting outside). the food and the drinks here are fabulous in taste and price. the wait service on the nights that i've been here has been adaquate and yet not overbearing. occasionally you might have to ask for your water to be re-filled but i am not exactly at a 5-star restaurant. also, reservation is not necessary, as far as i can tell. Also, i have not experienced any long wait for table either. \r \r All in all, good food, good drinks, and a great hangout place. totally recommending it.

In late may, i've paid a visit to Chicago on business for one week. I have read some good things about this hotel so i thought i should try it out (also it is listed in our approved corp travel list). i am quitee finicky when it comes to overnight accommodation so i also try to do ample research on hotels to ensure i have a good stay at a foreign city. \r \r Omni Chicago did not disappoint! every room in this establishment is set up as a suite so you have a lot more space that most hotels offer for a standard room. the flat panel tv was a treat in the living area where there was also a work desk and sofa. The bathroom was immaculately clean, bright and large. Their turndown service was especially sweet with individually wrapped chocolate and a color coded weather card (indicating the next day's weather and temperatue) on the pillow which are indicative of their attention to details. \r \r My stay also included the following amenities (no additional charge): \r - wireless internet in the room \r - access to gym (not big, but adaquate for a quick workout) as well as pool and jacuzzi\r - complimentary 'express' breakfast (allowing you to select from an limited menu offering choices of juice, bagels, and newspaper) delivered to your room at time specified by you\r - transport to downtown chicago where my office locates\r \r Not to mention perfect location, right off of michigan avenue for shopping and good restaurant. I did not try their in house restaurant since there are so many other choices near by... but i can't imagine it being too bad. My old ""not so perfect"" experience was that they mixed up my transporation reservation and about 1/2 hr before my scheduled time, they called me and indicated that the car wasn't available for me (as the person who made the resv for me has double-booked). However the concierge was apologetic got me a cab instead and insistied on paying for the ride. \r \r Omni would be my choice next time again in Chicago!

totally agreed w/ both reviews previous submitted. This place is a RIP OFF! \r got a salad no more than a pound and for some reason i got charged 10 bucks. I used to work at Rockefeller, not even cucina charges that sort of rediculous price .. .not to mention the food is no where near the same quality. the cashiers don't understand english and are very slow processing the order. the only thing about this plc is LOCATION. it is at a convenient spot when you want something other than manhattan mall food. \r

I just came here over the weekend to try their brunch since i heard it was quite good and the menu online looks interesting. unfortunately i was sorta late to the brunch menu and was given the late lunch menu instead. the food tasted ok but can't say i am satisfied with the portion. for drink, it was average ... the mimosa was nothing special but the raspberry belini was refreshing. \r \r they must have re-hire a bunch of new servers cause the lady for my table was extremely nice and courteous. so i would recommend this plc for a lazy afternoon hang out... i have not been here for dinner so i don't know if that's where most frustration comes from. \r \r

i had made reservation online very early on for trying their restaurant week menu. everything was fine until a day before the dinner, someone called from the restaurant and told me that i am not allowed to have a reservation w/ the time i have already slotted for (From opentable). I was told that there is a 'new' policy that restaurant week participants are not given the ""prime time"" dinner slot. we had to be rescheduled to 9pm. that conversation was not apologetic at all, moreover with a tone of as-matter-of-fact. \r \r Anyhow, since we were really excited to try JOJO, we took the 9pm appointment. And we are glad we did .. .cause aside from the poor experience w/ the reservation, everything went well from there. we were promptly seated; the food was great; the drink was not bad and the server was nice however not very attentive as I needed to ask for water several times. \r \r \r

went there for restaurant week.. the service was really really great. we were promptly seated and the waitsaff was very courteous. The food wasn't too impressive but above average. Overall, I will go back and try again maybe, their non-RW menu will be more exceptional.

I went here last week with my sister to try out the restaurant week prix-fixe menu. The $35 dinner was well spent. The food overall is above average but not awesomely great... I had the fish which was abit overcooked and the desert was way too sweet for our taste. However, the lamb my sister had was quite good. Also, they have excellent cocktail menu and we wanted to try all of them! The crazy apple martini was memorable. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing and gave good recommendations on the cocktails. The down-stair private party area seems conducive to a group gathering for special events.
