Well, I had to stay at the dub again for the Congressional Black Caucus convention last week. I checked in on Thursday and the staff even remembers me from the month prior. I had a room with a cool view of 15th street. The bell man was so floored that I handed him a tip because I forgot the last time he bought my boyfriend and I drinks. The roof top was humming and the great thing is I didn’t have to wait in line. I grabbed a seat in side because all of the tables at POV were full. My friend and I had a Dark and Stormy (Yummy) and a long Island Ice Tea. After leaving the hotel to attended some of the evenings events we came back to the hotel and where greeted warmly. The next morning I headed to the state of the art workout room and gave it a go. I love this place. However, tell the local Washington, DC City government to stop killing us on the room tax. Will I stay again? Sure when I come back to DC. This spot is the bomb!

When I need an outfit that everyone else in Atlanta, GA doesn’t have copies of I head over to Star Boutique in Marietta, GA I love this place because their very attentive to their customers. Please get on their mailing list for even greater prices throughout the year.

\r \r My co worker and I went to Ray’s on the River after work several days ago. I just love their views of the Chattahoochee River. However, the service was only fair. The wine was great; however you get a little more then a quarter of a glass of wine for $15.00 a glass. At Houston’s I get double the amount of wine I was give for $11.00 a glass. The service was fair. My main request is to pour the same amount of alcohol your competitors pour. For the amount of money I spent they would have to make some serious change for me to come back.\r

Miss Shirley’s is great! Weather you go with a bunch of your friends or by yourself, this spot is great. My girlfriend and I drove up from Atlanta, GA for the inauguration and stated in Downtown Baltimore, MD. It was snowing on Martin Luther King Day and because I’m from the New York area driving in the snow didn’t bother me. We parked on the street and went in side. The wait was only a minute and we were seated promptly. As we waited for our server the plates of food the servers had for the other patrons was phenomenal. Cinnamon Roll French toast, Crab Benedict and a great selection of pancakes. Our server was great and keep the coffee and tea flowing. When were left the line was out the door.I wish I could pick this place up and bring it to Atlanta, GA. I will make sure I come back here the next time I’m in the Baltimore area.

Barley is great! You get a bunch of your friends together and listen to live jazz, watch sports or play pool. My friend and met after work last Thursday night.\r The drinks were strong. The band was the bomb and the pool tables where open. This place is great for large groups upstairs and even a first date. I will be watching the final four from here. I will be back.\r

Last Friday after work a bunch of us went to Legal Seafood for dinner. I started out with the Crab Bisque with big chunks of fresh crab. It was pure heaven. My girlfriend had raw oysters from the east coast and they were so fresh that we order another dozen before dinner. Our server was excellent, she asked if we had any food allergies and we stated no. The wine list was great. I ordered a crisp white wine and my co-workers ordered cocktails. For dinner we order a New England clam bake which my co-worker could finish. Another co-worker ordered grilled salmon and I had a combo of shrimp, crab cake and scallops. For dessert, I had a sweet wine and they ordered the chocolate cake. The view of Centennial Park was beautiful. This is a great place if you want a romantic evening since we went the Friday before Valentines Day. The couples who were dining where all having a great time. I parked my self and only spent about 2 dollars on parking. We will be back!

Peachtree Dermatology Associates is great. The service is excellent and Dr Sylvia Wright is the bomb! I had laser treatment for my moles. Need I say, she was very attentive and great at what she does. I have recommended her to all of my friends. She doesn?t try to peddle every product on the market like most Doctors. She shows your skin type and will only , the products that are truly great for your skin type. My hair line was damaged for all the braiding I had done ove the past couple of years and the shots I get for my scape did the trick.I give this place 5 stars

I gave up my Jenny Craig for a hot minute to have some cake at a friends party and all I can say is yummy. I have ordered several desserts from this business and all I can say is Great Product and Service.

Ok folks, let not forget that in Atlanta and bars and restaurants come and go quickly. Even though this place is hot right now, within a year people in Atlanta move on to something else. Their door policy is very iffy. One week you go right in and 2 weeks later you need a reservation to stand at the bar and have a drink. Starwood didn?t state I need a reservation to get a Starwood?s rewards card for their hotels. I find offensive then when African American frequent certain place in Atlanta and spend money, things change. The drinks in the lobby are pricey $15.00 a drink. But, they should treat people a little better. Hopefully W downtown and W Buckhead will do better then midtown. In closing I must say there are African Americans in Atlanta, GA that do spend money when treated accordingly. With bad economy you would think they want the business.
